It's quiet - a little too quiet. That needs to change. Let's weigh in and wrassle.

BOLD player prediction: Ryan Luehrman will lead the MAC in receptions and receiving touchdowns among tight ends, and finish in the top 10 in the MAC in both categories among all receivers.
BOLD team prediction: The trio of Tuggle, Allison, and Ross rushes for over 2,000 yards.
BOLD conference prediction: Neither Bowling Green nor Akron will score a touchdown until week 3.
Bold national prediction: Boise State and Cincinnati run the table through their championship games. Whoever comes out of the Sun Belt (Louisiana or Coastal) will also be undefeated.

I'd really enjoy this scenario happening to make the P5 New Years Day bowl conversations uncomfortable.

BOLD player prediction: Allison and Tuggle both rush for 1,000 yards

BOLD team prediction: We'll see a dramatic shift in how aggressive Ohio is on offense.

BOLD conference prediction: Kent State is going to the MAC title game.

BOLD national prediction: Indiana finishes 2nd in the Big Ten East and wins 10+ games.

If Allison and Tuggle rush for 1K each, Kent is not going to the title game.

That's why it's BOLD. If I'm going out on a limb, may as well Wile E. Coyote myself into a canyon.

4 to 5 wins. I have no idea about our quarterback situation.
1-3 after first 4 games
Predict that Albin will be challenged by team/player issues and do a Hank Kimball impersonation at media events.
I really hope none of the above BOLD Predictions actually happen.
Boldly Predict that I will be dismayed by the increasing gap between top 25 teams and our MAC Conference.

BOLD prediction: Ohio will not play a full 12 games, and full attendance will not be allowed in Peden due to COVID. This is the 800 lb gorilla no one wants to talk about. Dr Gillian Ice, OU's epidemiology director, is warning people to stay away from crowds. Would not shock me to see all classes go online again. Hope, hope, hope I'm wrong on all this.

Geez, Jeff, by posting this, I am hoping you didn't put a hex on the season.

I predict we beat 'Cuse by two touchdowns, take Northwestern by a field goal and beat Ball State in Detroit in honor of Frank.

How about 8-4 and just miss the MAC title game in a tiebreaker to the team who beat us with a late 4th quarter score. Then, we pull off a relatively easy win against a lackluster 7-5 MWC opponent in the Cracker Barrel Cholesterol Bowl.

BOLD player prediction: Sieh Bangura gets more yards than Julian Ross while defensively, Jett Elad is a First Team All-MAC DB.
BOLD team prediction: Our defensive line gets 25 plus sacks
BOLD conference prediction: Dustin Crum underperforms compared to his first two years.
Bold national prediction: OSU goes 0-12.

[complete deadpan delivery] Cracker Barrel isn’t a bowl sponsor this year.

We want BOLD predictions not things that will actually happen.

Another Bold Prediction or two:

*We have the best OHIO defensive team in this century.
*Daxon is first team MAC
*Rourke is first team MAC
*Isphording will be the best OC in the conference, and even his UTM plays will appear brilliant.

In a rematch of the 2016 MAC championship, Ohio beats Western Michigan by one point on the last play of the game on a one yard TD run from Left Tackle TJ Jackson, A LA refrigerator perry, and Tristen Vandenburg hits the extra point in off the right upright.

Article today by Arkley says 102 out of 118 players vaccinated as of now. No quarantine as far as I see. The 16 non-vaccinated CAN INFECT the vaccinated. Agree with Jeff that the possibility of a forfeit is possible.
I assume all are practicing and traveling with the team to away games.
Seems like a high risk way to run the program.

Don't overestimate the little orange of knoxville.

Yes, Bowling Green is really bad but the days of Peyton Manning are long gone.

And the little orange did manage to lose at home to Georgia State not that long ago who then proceeded to give up 57 to Western Michigan, 37 to Texas State, 45 to La.-Monroe, 56 to Appy, etc.

If Allison and Tuggle rush for 1K each, Kent is not going to the title game.
For bold predictions, Allison and Tuggle might each rush for 1,000 against kent. They got dudes like Keith Sherald back for this year which will help, but dang, Kent has struggled against the run lately.

The Bobcats spring a 3-4 defense in week one, with Daxon at NT and a host of linebackers squeezing the orange on pass and run blitzes
