Now that my own heart has restarted, wish him nothing but the best in the years to come. He can truly take pride in what he's accomplished here, not just on the field but off as well. Not only has he helped mold some fantastic players, but nearly all are good, upstanding people. I hope he stays in Athens, but if he doesn't I hope he finds the place of his dreams.
T2 is an interesting hire. If he can get Rogers's completion percentage near his own 62%, we'll have a really dangerous pair of QBs, assuming Rourke heals up from last year's injury.
Guessing that Albin will call the offense from the sideline, at least for the first few games.
Coincidentally, Nebraska named a new AD today, it's fourth since joining the B10 in 2011.
Pretty awkward in the Albin interview when someone asked about the hiring of Tettleton LOL. I'm sure Arkley has the sources to back up what he tweeted but I'm assuming it's just not 100% official yet...still pretty funny to watch though.
so true...hahaha
Goes to show how much skill is required for doing press conferences. It was clear that he was nervous (and who wouldn't be), but after some time and practice he'll be a lot more confident in answering those kinds of questions in stride.
He could really use a little bit of media training. That would be a smart investment by the AD. In general, he just needs to slow down and let his thoughts form before trying to articulate them.
Ouch, that was an extremely cringe worthy press conference not only due to Coach Albin's extreme nervousness and lack of public relations savvy, but the extremely low production values related to the video (good lord, don't we have a relatively well respected television, media, and radio school there at Ohio?) It will be interesting to see if Albin has the Charisma, vision, and confidence needed to keep this program rolling. Going from being a dutiful assistant for many years for a Collegiate Legend like Solich can't be easy under any circumstances, but, Wow, I was expecting better than this, especially since Albin being the eventual replacement has reportedly been in the works for quite a while now. It makes it appear that Albin -- for one -- was completely caught off guard by Solich's decision to step down at this exact time.
