Fire Albin immediately, name one of the staff as interim HC and start the search. Also notify the staff that they too are gone at the end of the season.

So you're suggesting that would make a successful season?

At that point we would be headed in the right direction by stopping the bleeding. You would be building for the future, not watching the Titanic sink. So what, we keep Albin and go 1-11 or 0-12? How does that help the program long term. This season is already over. Do something positive by taking the program in an entirely new direction with a new staff and HC.

Gotta think about recruiting also. Will firing the staff improve our chances of landing any recruits that could contribute right away?

5 and 7 would be a success. Wins over Akron, Eastern, Miami, and Central and steal one more.

Pretty much, yeah.

I mean, while that would feel good, it’s a great way to ensure that we either have no recruiting class or (perhaps worse) we only offer guys who are hoping to walk-on to college golf teams

Anything that gets Albin out the door as quick as possible.

There’s no way this gets better. Cut losses ASAP.

It is a long season and we have eight games left in the Mac. I’m certainly not for keeping Albin at this point but let’s finish out the year and if it goes as bad as we think then get rid of the whole staff and start over again with someone fresh. It has been said before I think the whole solich/Albin thing has just gotten stale. We need a reboot!

First 4 games - Albin prior OC - And we are outscored in the first 4 games 141 to 55....

Only 55 pts in 4 games....

And not vs really stellar competition....

I'm on the cut the bleeding sooner vs later side (meaning the potential LONG term bleeding....)

And remember, six of those points came on a kickoff return.

But worse yet, if you look at the three games vs D1A teams (which we face the rest of the year) it's 113-29. That's an average of 9.7 ppg on offense.

The cheerleaders don't throw out those little white footballs anymore, do they? I remember many games in the early 2000's when a friend and I sat in the vacated-after-halftime student section hoping to see one of the cheerleaders succeed at firing one of those little white footballs out of the stadium over the bleachers. Does that date myself? Could we bring those back?
Yeah, more useless plastic for the world to clean up. Might as well throw them right into the ocean.
You're right, I was dumb. Those 30 white footballs are wasteful plastic. Let's hand out a few thousand thunder sticks instead and get LOUD.

If it does, I was right there with you doing the same.

The basketballs they tossed were a lot nicer.
