They are certainly not old enough to do the normal retirement to collect social security or a pension.
They may retiring from football to pursue other occupations. I don’t personally know either guy but I certainly wish them well in their future endeavors and I really mean that

By the way, if he’s 61 like someone said , he’s not old enough for social security as I said above. Just because your family is grown doesn’t mean you’re old enough to retire.
No, you know more than most others. Pete is early 60s so still working towards SS - especially at full level from his stay at other jobs. Ron isn't close to sniffing 60, so still needs to put in some time. We've paid them well by Athens standards for certain, and there should be pension available for their time at Ohio via OPERS, but as you stated, SS is not in the immediate picture. All said, they won't be relying on local food kitchens,
