Thanks for reminding me of this fact, gruntster. I believe he's the younger brother of a classmate of the older of my two younger sisters.
Did he see Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night?
Sorry, but I don't see the connection with the Ferris Bueller's story of passing information on by a student who said, "My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.” I was simply describing a relationship. There was nothing in my post that had anything to do with passing on information through some long chain.
I have two younger sisters. If I describe the older one as my "older sister" it's inaccurate because people will think that she is older than your humble correspondent. If I describe her as my younger sister that's also not accurate because it implies to most listeners that she's younger than my other sister. If you have a more parsimonious way to describe this relationship, I'd really like to know it.
