Only chance we have is if Kent State lays an egg in a letdown from playing Top ten teams and plays sloppy and we win the turnover battle and hang around where we win on a late field goal. Pressure is on Kent State. They are 1-3 and this game is like our Duquesne game from last year for Kent State. MAC teams are prone to bad losses. Maybee we catch a break and Kent State just comes out flat.

Found the box score. I think what I was remembering the most about our passing attack in this game was the three TD passes. Cleve did have a very respectable total passing yards also, but not nearly as good as Cook's.

Wow. UC had 683 yards of total offense in that game, while Ohio had "only" 491. The real difference in the game appears to be the turnovers, where Cook threw an interception, and UC had 2 fumbles, while Ohio had no turnovers.

Kent has been pretty balanced so far between passing and rushing. I predict that Ohio "forces" them to pass. Schlee is averaging about 170 yards passing a game, so far. For Ohio to win they need:
1. Hold Schlee to <340 yards passing
2. Hold Kent to <500 yards total offense
3. Rourke throws for 400+ yards
4. Win the turnover battle
5. No errors on special teams

As a youngster, I saw Bob Houmard's Orrville team put 70 points on our HS circa fall 1964.

I see that he passed away in March of 2021. RIP to the MAC's "human bowling ball".

KSU hit the portal pretty hard on D but still like the our Offense vs anyone the rest of the way. Defense Im feelin to much is put on coaches, players have to make plays…flat out don’t bit in the deep ball, and get pressure.

Bounce back here and get the Dub

I think his nickname at Ohio was "Hoss". Met him my freshman year and he was a gentle giant.

Its not a good sign when Fordham is losing to 1-3 Georgetown at home in Patriot League competition either.

I get the strategy. Call running play after running play. Put Kent State to sleep and then light them up.

Kent is going to be able to move the ball just fine against our pitiful defense.

Let the Kent State offense blow right by us in an attempt to tire them out. I get it. I get it.

How can any Division I defense be this bad? It seems borderline impossible.

Can't convert 3rd and short. Give the ball right back to Kant. Clown D effort in first drive. TD. Another great start to a game.

We tackled pretty good the first three games. The last game and this one not so much. Way too many missed tackles Already

TA’s guaranteed money in his contract ends after this 2022 season. He can be let go that soon.

I’ve never seen a secondary part open like this for a ballcarrier. It’s like they’re magnetically repelled.

Also, you cannot name your child Raymond James.

My son said KSU should go for it on 4th and 39 against Ohio's D. Can't say I disagree.

Tight end room looks strong, if it could get 100% healthy.
