Other things we need:
1. Kurtis Rourke to separate himself and be half the player his brother was. Nothing more, nothing less..just half.
2. Sieh and O'Shaan need to hit for 1,600 yards combined this year
3. Burton or Foster turn into a reliable pass catching threat
4. Veteran O-linemen play an entire season (Meservy, Rogers, Titsworth, Danneker)
5. A transfer or two to come out of nowhere somewhere (whether it's Navarro, Wiglusz, Hunter or the Ball State guy or the Jacksonville guy etc.)
6. OUr linebackers to ballhawk like we know they can
7. Our D-line to get to the QB

I know that's a monstrous list but it's time to get back to real Bobcat football.

I also think OUr coaches need to be better prepared.

We took Duquesne lightly and morale was destroyed.

Film on FAU should help.

We will not take them lightly.

New coaches need to step up.

Who is in charge of the start time? If it's an ESPN+ game, don't we just get an uplink to turn on? We don't have TV to adhere to. I'm anticipating a massive halftime exodus to catch OSU/Notre Dame even if it's a decent performance with FAU. If we start getting the doors blown off, it's going to look like there was a fire drill on the student side.

Does ESPN+ really dictate the starting time? If we selected the starting time, then there's massive incompetence in the athletic department at the highest levels. A 3:30 start would have been ideal.

I like the later start time for the first game of the season. Cuts down on frying in the stands under the sun and allows for an extra Mystic Mama pre-game. Up to the team to cut down on the exodus by supplying a good product. The fine fans who wear WalMart OSU jerseys on Saturday aren't going to stick around anyway.

FAU update from their message boards:

Coach Taggart says LB Jamie Pettway is day-to-day, DE Chris Jones is probable, DL Decarius Hawthorne is probable, and RB Johnny Ford remains day to day for "personal reasons". However, he is hopeful for Ford return against Ohio on Saturday.

Please forgive me for being somewhat OT but I can’t help but wonder if Trey Hendrickson (Bengals DE and FAU alum) will be at the game Saturday. Maybe even with Joe. I doubt if he gets many opportunities during the season. Also, apologies to Browns fans. Carry on.
