Half of the players on the team need to transfer. They deserve better than what Albin gives.
The players have to make plays. That's not on the coaches.
Isn't it the coaches responsibility to get them into a position in terms schemes and in terms of training and preparation so that they can make plays?

I'm not excusing the poor execution and the individual player's personal cupablity, but there has to be some onus on the coaches.

This kills me people wanna hate on the coaches…the players play the players tackle players run they gotta make plays.
I would love to quote this to all coaches during contract negotiations when they tout their win-loss record.

To quote Office Space, “So what is it exactly that you do here?”

Could we coax Jimmy Burrow out of retirement to work on this Defense?

At this point it's clear Rourke has blossomed into a fantastic throwing QB in the MAC. Let's use him more and take more shots. Let's trust him to make a good decision on third down. I hated the option call to Bangura late. As much as Sieh's a weapon, I don't have much faith in this offense converting third downs on the ground.
This. Time to go full Maction and air it out all the time.

I don’t care how many yards they had. The D created turnovers and Kent had holding penalties because our dudes were just better on those plays.

You wanna win the MAC? You gotta score more than 24. Let Rourke chuck it….

The "good" news about the awful defense is that Rourke is likely going to set some passing records for Ohio by a wide margin, because Ohio will be needing a lot of TDs to win any game. At the current pace, for example, Rourke will exceed Tettleton's record for passing yards in a season by 50%.

[QUOTE=L.C.]... For Ohio to win they need:
1. Hold Schlee to <340 yards passing
2. Hold Kent to <500 yards total offense
3. Rourke throws for 400+ yards
4. Win the turnover battle
5. No errors on special teams

Bobcats failed on 1,2, and 3. Schlee had 398 yards passing. Kent had 735 yards of total offense. Rourke only had 322 yards passing.

Tristian Vandenberg was MAC East special teams player of the week. All he does is kickoff. Vakos and Vandenberg have now both won it once.
