This is not a moral victory.
This is a game that absolutely should have been won.
This loss is exactly why TA needs to be fired.
Did we lose?
Not quite yet we blocked a field goal, but we will lose in OT.

Looks like Nowinsky has the same defensive play calling philosophy as Ron Collins. Gonna be a long season for Izzy trying to keep us afloat.

Well at least this season will be entertaining. QBs, RBs and WRs gotta be licking their chops. Guys do fight tho!

In truth, Kent State kept us in the game with holding calls and poor ball safety. The better team won today, but the Bobcats had their chances and did not execute when it counted.

Tough loss. Gave up 736 yards. Could have been a lot worse

We punted 8 times so the offense wasn’t exactly clicking either.

Much closer game than I thought possible. Team is showing improvement. But, we are still finding a way to lose conference games. In the end, the defense did not make stops when the game was on the line.

Very painful ending. The final score was not indicative of what happened during the game. They worked us. Over 700 yds from KSU on offense. If it weren't for fluke fumbles and penalties stalling them out, we would have lost by three scores.

As far as I know fumbles and penalties are part of the game.

Half of the players on the team need to transfer. They deserve better than what Albin gives.

It's a difficult loss but our goals are still in front of us of winning the East and making a bowl game.

But this makes next weeks game very important and I'm glad that it Akron and it at home.

I'm not sure where we stand with injuries but I feel like we have a lot and it going to be a season where we have players come and go which isn't the best.

Also slow starts need to stop happening.

As beat up as we were/are giving up 24 points in regulation wasn't too bad.

Awe shucks. Well,

The Zips made lots of mistakes today to lose their HC to BGSU. Perhaps they like Kent, will keep giving OHIO golden opportunities to win by fumbling and making dumb penalties.

Go OHIO, beat the Zips on Homecoming in Athens.

Came in a close second in the Kent State game. Yeah, that’s like a win, right? I mean it went into OT…that was a close second place. (Sarcasm font needed).

At this point it's clear Rourke has blossomed into a fantastic throwing QB in the MAC. Let's use him more and take more shots. Let's trust him to make a good decision on third down. I hated the option call to Bangura late. As much as Sieh's a weapon, I don't have much faith in this offense converting third downs on the ground.

They are. However we were gifted several lucky breaks that aren't going to happen in every game. They fumbled how many times? How many penalties bailed out our defense. Not going to receive those gifts every week.

Uhh...we caused the fumbles people. Give the D some damn credit. How about giving me the rundown on Kants QB fumbling and it bounced right back to him. Was that expected as well?

This. Time to go full Maction and air it out all the time.

I don’t care how many yards they had. The D created turnovers and Kent had holding penalties because our dudes were just better on those plays.

You wanna win the MAC? You gotta score more than 24. Let Rourke chuck it….

We don't have the talent in the secondary to get it done. Plain and simple.

I agree, we have WAY more talent at the WR position and considering the lack of depth at RB and just overall talent...let Rourke go to town and air it out. It's the only way we have a chance in the MAC, we need points...lots of them.

Only issue is when we go three and out in like 30 seconds. LOL

There was some improvement this week. They took Kent State to overtime. Kent Laid an egg in this game, but our defense is so bad we couldn't get the W. Bobcats won the turnover battle and had fewer penalties. Maybe we turned the corner and some positive momentum from this game. Still big yardage given up. Couldn't hold late lead.

If we quit trying to run, Rourke would’t last one game before getting hurt. Be careful what you ask for.
