Doc, will we be able to get a full report from your eye in the sky?

It would be nice to get some Attackers reports on the scrimmage. According to the media day reports the staff has not settled on a starting QB yet. Isn't that the case every year of the Solich era?

From what Frank said in a recent interview in an Omaha paper, I think the QB job is truly open right now.  I think more so than in previous years when you could get a good sense of who had the upper hand, or at least where the "smart money" was.  In this case, I'd guess that it's about 50/50.

Hey.....I felt sorry for the guy.....lost his job.....really can't afford a slide so I added one of those large blue plastic barrels and opened up both ends for emergency evacuations.

Of course the head coach is going to say there is a quarterback position battle one week into camp - he wants them to push each other and not have one of them let up because he knows he has the starting job locked up.  Coaches know who has the ability to carry the offense and who has flashes of the ability to carry the offense by this point.

With the history of this coaching staff, it would not surprise me if they never truly or officially announce a starting QB before game #1.

Boo runs the offense and Bates is your Tebow back.

Leak/Tebow deal.

I heard from someone who got to go to the scrimmage today that the D looked great and the O struggled.  Ryan Boykin was the bright spot on the offense and Dallas Brown had a fumble or two.  From the sounds of it, I am excited to watch our defense against the Toledo offense in the second game of the season.

Russ and Rob promised some insights at OhioBobcats.com tomorrow. Boykin looked like the real deal in the spring game.

Defense is good we all knew that (or should be good).  Offense really struggled.  I am sure though that the Defense was throwing a lot at what is still a young(er) O-Line and very inexperienced backs.  It is a starting point, we get better each week on our way to an MAC Champhioship.

As usual for the last 30 years during the first scrimmage the defense is always ahead of the offense.  Today was the same.  I really did not think that any of the QB's really put their best foot forward. I thought that receiver routes were not adequate.   I did think that Boykin did show some promise.  There were to many infractions on the LOS.  Hopefully that will improve. We certainly don't want a repeat from last year. The kicking game was fair and needs to have more work.

There seems to be a number of players out  and I don't want to mention them in case Wolford, OSU and Toledo is watching the board,  AS it is none of their business.  And I know they they are watching.

Saturday will tell us more.

Even though the Zaleski dragonfly cost coverage of the scrimmage today..... since I had to put it down in Zaleski it resulted  in the hiring of a security crew.....I've had reports of Fiami terrorists ready to destroy the Solich Soarer so I hired Letha Toops and Larry Webb from Zaleski as my security team:

You can't make this stuff up.  What Doc says is true.  Very true.  I have no idea what he's talking about, of course.

I like this from Coach's recap on ohiobobcats.com:   If you look at it from the offensive standpoint, I thought we ran the ball straight at them very effectively. If we had kept pounding them and pounding them in a game, we would have worn them down and been putting points on the board in the fourth quarter.

Nice.

Also, miami sucks.

Ha ha....Monroe....that's funny....and ya know I luv ya.

The Chicken Little Sky is Fallin crew on this forum and any other forum that mentions us wails about zero effectiveness at running back....check out the scrimmage facts:

Running back Ryan Boykin had the best day offensively, rumbling seven times for 68 yards, while Dallas Brown carried the ball six times for 33 yards. Quarterback Tyler Tettleton also had four carries for 23 yards, while running backs Joey Inks and Devin Favors chipped in 18 and 17 yards, respectively.
