Can someone let the defense know that the game started at noon?

I'm not sure which is worse, the quality of the announcers or the quality of the football being played.

Two sacks--cheers!

We gonna throw it downfield at all--or only 5 yards.

3d qtr--first and goal at their 7--and our play is a pistol option.  Are you kidding?

Backs against the wall, tons on the line for the season and future of the program. No way we lose this game. Seniors wont let this one slip away, defense will come up big.

Ohio 30
EMU10

Attendance: Go to a Division I high school game this weekend and you might have more in attendance.

Looking good so far....

I should have said it earlier, but EMU was just what the doctor ordered for the Cats.
Hats off to EMU I think they are going to turn it around sooner than later.

The Toledo game was hopefully our Kent State game from last year this season and Toledo so far (with the exception of the Arizona slaughter) looks to be a power in the West.

Now our real season starts!!!
Now we need to go on a run!!!
GO CATS!!!

It was a very good game plan on both sides of the ball. We took big advantage of EMU's propensity to go with man coverage and used those crossing patterns. When they tried to load up the box we found ways to get to the perimeter-- including some very good decisions by Boo Jackson on the option plays -- and went downfield enough to keep them honest. All of this opened up the playbook so we could do plays like the fake option reverse for the TD. And, the wheel play for the long TD was a great call - wonder if it was the original or a check down when we saw they were bringing the blitz on that side.

Defensively, we were in position to make plays today, and made some. The d-line asserted itself in the second half.

I know EMU is young and struggling, but there were many thing to build upon today. And, if we can get a bit healthier, we've got 4 of the next 5 at home I think.

The Bobcats looked ok.  They came out in the 2nd half and took care of business against a bad Eastern Mich. team.  The quarterback battle is over it appears.  As for the late hits on the QBs, there was one each called against Ohio and EMU that were awful calls.  Then Boo gets nailed up high and no flag?

We need to get ready for a huge battle next week.   Go Bobcats and come on Northern Illinois (beat Temple).  Was anyone surprised at Miami's comeback against Kent?  Looks like the ship in Oxford may finally be righting itself.

Is it just me or is EMU's stadium really as ugly as it looked on TV?

Got back from the game.  Two plays and we'd have seen a larger spread and perhaps the debut of Snyder at QB.

The reverse pass our receiver, stops and Riley throws it long; could have been a big gainer.

Our db number 31 has the play on the long completion on 3rd and long and he misjudges the pass going over his head. It seemed like it was in slow motion he saw the ball and jumped but didn't get back far enough. EMU goes in and scores a few plays later.  Seems like some of our guys never played in the wind before.  Posey couldn't figure out where the kickoff would fall and had to step back to make momentum stopping catches several times.

Had Eastern not scored the touchdown it appeared that Snyder was getting ready to come in to get some reps.

Leftwich had some nice knock downs.  The defense seemed to tackle better in the OSU game than they did today.

While I doubt EMU could have won today, if they stop shooting themselves in the foot with penalties they may upset someone before the year is over.

Their band in the stands had a lot of energy but only one aisle of students to yell for the home team.
