It was a very good game plan on both sides of the ball. We took big advantage of EMU's propensity to go with man coverage and used those crossing patterns. When they tried to load up the box we found ways to get to the perimeter-- including some very good decisions by Boo Jackson on the option plays -- and went downfield enough to keep them honest. All of this opened up the playbook so we could do plays like the fake option reverse for the TD. And, the wheel play for the long TD was a great call - wonder if it was the original or a check down when we saw they were bringing the blitz on that side.
Defensively, we were in position to make plays today, and made some. The d-line asserted itself in the second half.
I know EMU is young and struggling, but there were many thing to build upon today. And, if we can get a bit healthier, we've got 4 of the next 5 at home I think.
