BTW, on 97.5 The Fanatic (Philadelphia) you can hear Ohio U alumnus Dan Schwartzman on the radio evenings. I invited him to come and sit with me during the game, but a) he has to work that evening and b) his wife just gave birth.

I remember when it 97.5 WPST. Oh for the days of listening to the post modern rock countdown with Trish Merelo...

Off-topic reminiscing over....

Scott,
I can tell you where NOT to go...and that is the tourist traps of Pat or Genos.

The best place to go in South Philly close to the stadium is:
Tony Lukes
39 E. Oregon Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19148  - (215) 551-5725

BTW, on 97.5 The Fanatic (Philadelphia) you can hear Ohio U alumnus Dan Schwartzman on the radio evenings. I invited him to come and sit with me during the game, but a) he has to work that evening and b) his wife just gave birth.

Also, get some crab fries. I think you can get them in the stadium actually.

I'll be going to the game and staying with a fellow OU alum who is in grad school at Penn. I'm so pumped I can't think of anything else right now. It's killing my productivity!

Tmplowl, what is the tailgate policy at the Linc?  I've been all over the site and can't find any details.

If you haven't made your reservations yet, I recommend the Embassy Suites Airport in Phily. It is just south of the stadiums and they do an outstanding NY strip steak in their restaurant. The cheesesteak places aren't very far north of the stadiums, so the Embassy is well located for visiting them, also. Whenever I travel to Phily on business, I stay there. It's right off the freeway, so it's easy to get to downtown, too, as well as close to the other freeway that heads NW toward west Phily and the Valley Forge area.

There really aren't any prohibitions when it comes to tailgating at the Linc. Enterance fee is $15 per vehicle.
