By my count only 4 people are undefeated at this point with their picks.  The lucky fellows are as follows:

While I would like to congratulate you guys, its hard to when the team is 1-3.  Here's to hoping your luck continues because it looks like all of you have a nice win streak coming up starting this week with EMU.

Well JC....you need to start your own sports magazine as Phil Steele had Brazill projected all MAC......gosh we all heard I guess that Boo would never be able to throw again like he should....and we still have people on this board asking about Ashley.

It's not asleep at the wheel...it's just you being so smug and arrogant that you have inside info and you rub it in everyone's face.

Let's see...here's JC's mag prediction:

OHIO

Rough year for the Cats as I predicted them to be a bottom feeder.  The O-line sucks with young guys who won't get any better during the year.

Of course everyone knows Boo is injured and Brazill will never play because he's always in the doghouse.

Bates can't throw....why do you think he lost the QB job at ISU....and as far as running backs remember.....they only have 2 on a scholly.

And your prediction was what?

Doc, what were your expectations from our offensive players prior to the season starting? Were they as high as posters that thought we had Montana and Young under center?

Offensively I thought we were OK last year.......this year 3 returning STARTING lineman......a  new center who was  supposedly adequate....and one position to be filled by possibly 2 seniors and a junior....all 3 who no longer are on the team because of injuries.

Yeah I counted on Ashley and Harden as RB's.....my bad.

I watched the spring game....Bates looked like he could throw and I guess I didn't pay attention to the severity of Jackson's injury.

But Jackson holds Ohio records in passing.....Brazil was touted as a pre-season All American....McCrae was a TD redzone machine last year.

How could you not have decent expectations......no one predicted an undefeated season (well some did)....but hardly anyone predicted a Knorr Year.

And you call me Debbie Downer?  This team 1-3, lost to what is looking like a pretty good Toledo ball club (note our historical success with Toledo nothing was a given in that game), OSU (like it or not that ball club is pretty damn good) and a Marshall team (CUSA is better across the board than the MAC.  This is hardly a Knorr team, nor will this be a 4 win Knorr style campaign.  This team will be fine, and I do want to note that in the summer and spring when I brought these "issues" up I was cast as Mr. Negative, sorry I just called it as I saw it then, if the Cats would have gone 13-0 I would gladly have eaten that crow.  If they lose them all from hear on out I will sadly eat that crow.  This team will be fine in MAC play, we are a rising MAC program, nothing more and nothing less.

Talk to me Saturday night.

I'm not giving up either......but you'll have to admit that a loss Saturday would put us in the crapper.

I thought there would be improvement. Injuries happen, you need depth to counter it. It still puzzles me how are in year 6 and haven't seen the depth that seemed to be a given.

I never had confidence in the RB depth. Losing Harden was going to make the first 5 games (I'm not counting Wofford) battles. Way too many question marks surrounded Ashley that it didn't surprise me that he didn't pan out. Still waiting for a Kalvin McCrae (intentional misspelling for the sharks) to step onto campus.

Bates was always a question mark with me too. You can never put too much into spring games. There are always guys who look like Heismans during those scrimmages and never make it happen during the regular season. Bates position needs to RB or WR. It will be interesting to see if the staff can sell him on making that move because I don't see him being our guy at QB.

It is true that Jackson holds records. Didn't Brad Bower set some records too? Or come close to? Jackson also set those marks during a 4-8 season. He's now coming back from an injury that has a direct impact on his ability to throw. Brazil is a talented player. Key terminology with that All American designation is PRE-SEASON. Those accolades are pretty much along the lines of Spring Game awards. McRae (still messing with the sharks) is solid, he also had Theo throwing to him last year who I would argue was and is a better fit than Jackson.

In terms of expectations, I just think posters as a majority overlooked  too many unknowns when predicting the season. I thought I was pretty fair with my 7-5 prediction. The Eastern game is going to be the true indicator of what happens the rest of the year. If we can win that game, then 7 or 8 wins might still happen. If we lose, we can only hope that we can right the ship enough for 6 wins.

I am taking the Cat's v. Eastern -10  (3-1 with the Cats this year, Last second hail mary Saturday is my blemish).  I believe this team will fare well in this part of the schedule.

The poor play-calling, the poor execution and the hint of being able to win games but not really being close --you've got to be blind to see that this team has been significantly knorr-like at too many points this year.

I get no pleasure from this, but a loss at EMU will be pretty much like the loss that ended Beefaloe's world-record losing streak.  We do not want to be in that category.

I said Toledo was going to be a hallmark/bellwhether (sp?) game.  I stand by that until this team shows better.

Nothing Knorr about this one, I am predicting Boo is going the distance at QB and the Cats will cover the -10.

Was there any doubt?  O-Line did a decent (better than average job) at protection.

No changes for me with the exception of overall record compliments of Rocket MoJo...An accomplishment for which I've granted color coded editing)

10/30 vs. Louisiana - W
11/4 vs. Buffalo - W
11/16 at Temple - W
11/26 at Kent St. - W

Regular season record: 10-2 (Edited to 9-3)

If necessary:
12/3 MAC Championship Game - W (Eye's on the true prize!  This year's team is the team we've all been waiting on...Obviously a lot rides on O-Line depth and OLB performance but we have far too much talent and true desire at the skill positions for this not to be the year)

Bowl Game - W (Even though this is a tough call not knowing who the opponent will be I just think this squad will be too cohesive and on too much of a roll not to close out with a bowl win)

Final overall record: 12-2 (Edited to 11-3)  (The season we knew was coming the day Coach Solich put his name on OUr program!)
