Arkansas Pine-Bluff Edge Anas Luqman (6-4, 250 orig from Cincy Princeton) is a Bobcat. Will be a redshirt junior.

The tape is awesome.

Yeah. Finished 6th in the 100m hurdles at state championship and was rated the #1 recruit in the state by On3. Looks like we offered him back then, too, and were a finalist with Vandy and Wyoming. Looks like he put on 30 pounds at Vandy.

Senior year film is crazy.

I would not count on much of anything happening for us the rest of this window. As laid out above, we don’t have a ton of spots. P4 kids will be getting cut after new roster rules or looking to move in the Spring if it seems like they won’t start. Also have kids who thought they were done but now have extra time they weren’t expecting after being JUCO players, and some of them are probably still deciding what to do.

Save some spots for the Spring window.
So we’ve gotten 6 commits since your comment yesterday

The words that Third-team All-MAC Linebacker Shay Taylor wrote when he announced he would be staying at OHIO seem to really be coming into fruition.

"Ohio doesn't rebuild, WE RELOAD!"

Added UCLA transfer K David Dellenbach. HS All-American who redshirted his freshman year in 2024. Hit a 58 yarder in HS.
Wow, we wasted absolutely no time getting in a new kicker. Awesome.

Saw on his twitter that we gave him a full scholarship and he has 4 years of eligibility remaining so it looks like our kicking future is secure.

He was also ranked 10th in his kicking class.

Unless this keeps up I’d still expect Spring to be busier.

I’m wondering if the recently signed players can be enrolled this semester( even though it’s already stated) and that’s a reason that they all came this weekend. It’s always nice to get the recruits in school to do spring practice with the team. Several other schools like FAU likewise did a lot of recruits this week. Just random or any connection. Any thoughts?

4-year letterman in soccer. I read an article from HS that said he kicked them out of the back of the endzone pretty regularly. Hope this kid becomes a weapon. Nothing more demoralizing than playing great defense, keeping the other team out of the redzone and on comes this dude about to bomb a 50 yarder in your eye.

I think we are all concerned about the O-line more than anything else. I am sure the coaches are working on several options as we speak.

I also hate that the college football season is literally still going on for 7 more days and yet spots are filling up. Imagine the NFL filling out next years rosters the week before the Super Bowl.

Another portal window opens after spring ball (April 16-25) so still time to find last minute deals on lineman.

That is EXACTLY why the portal dates are what they are! One after fall semester and one at end of spring semester.

So far we have 19 new players committed to the program -3 running backs, 2 kickers/punters and 14 defensive guys, now that’s weird,

I kinda get that, but I was wondering if that means these guys will definitely join the team now or can they wait until the summer ?

I'm not surprised. He had quite a few verbal altercations with staff on the sidelines last season early on before he missed time. Not sure he was seeing eye to eye with them.

At least he still gets to play NIU.

Hyatt and Kremeni should fill right in.

I believe Brawley only has one year left, so he will miss NIU. Unless last year qualifies for a redshirt. Who knows these days.

I’m sorry but I don’t think this is true at all. Every single person I have ever talked to including coaches had nothing but good things to say about Brawley and adored him, his personality, his work ethic, and his passion to win so we might’ve just been seeing that. In my opinion I think he might of went through a lot more than we know this past season. He gave us blood, sweat, and tears for 3 years so maybe he was just ready to get a fresh start in a conference with better resources for their players.
