If I recall correctly, the road team has won in this matchup the past four years or so. Advantage Ohio, but I think that's a razor thin advantage.

I expect to see a dog fight against the Flashes. I sincerely hope for a Temple win over Miami so that the Kent game is virtually meaningless.

Brian Smith:  one of the best avatars ever!

Our biggest advantage vs. Kent is the smack down they put on us in Athens last year...that should count for something in the motivation dept.

I find it hard to believe that Miami will beat Temple without Dyesert. A lacerated spleen sounds like it would hurt a lot. I'll be rooting against Miami (notice I didn't say for Temple) just in case. If Ohio brings the same intensity, it should beat Kent State, but the Golden Flashes potentially could be playing to be bowl eligible, which could be pretty good incentive. Their defense is tough. I still think Ohio is much better, but not so much better that it's a given to win, especially on the road.

I was much more impressed with Temple's Girardi than with Fiami's Boucher, but Girardi has had four games' experience as the starter and Boucher was starting his first.  And if Pierce can't play for Temple, they could have problems scoring.  If Golden rides his team this week like they were speculating on ESPN, then Temple should take it.

As for incentive, the Cats have a bunch as well.  If Temple wins, OU will be playing for the OUTRIGHT MAC East title.  (Another t-shirt there? OUtright begins with OU?)  That beats a three-way share of the title, even with the tiebreakers.  And the Cats will be looking to have a W against every MAC East team.  And having an eight-game winning streak going into the championship game is great momentum.

If the O line and the D line blow off the ball like they did Tuesday night, they'll be able to take care of business.

C Money what year's team are you thinking of man?  Since Marshall, the Cats have played a range of weak to competitive teams and they haven' t played down to any of them but rather slapped each of them with 30+ points.  I know you know this.  Get some faith man.  Army cranked up the run machine on the Flashes and so will the Bobcats.  And if they stop the run as they did against Temple they do it by jamming the box and you'll be guaranteed to see the wideouts catch more than a few long ones.  We are long past due on seeing some special team heroics other than a fake punt as well.  Didn't the lack of needing to rely on pass completions and the dominant running to totally manhandle Temple get rid of your jitters?  When you live by big pass plays like the Bobcats and Theo did last year you have potential as Woody would have said to have bad things happen.  But when you move the ball as the Cats have been doing with all those weapons the potential for those weak games diminish.

This is not your father's Oldsmobile.  Don't have stress when you're downing turkey and the fixins and by all means enjoy your guests cause we are going to see the seniors go out in the style of victors the next day.  Confidence.

You forget that since we have a Championship Game there is no shared title like what you get in the Big 10.  Whoever goes to the MACC is the MAC East Champion, the other teams don't get to claim that title.
