Seems like a pretty short gloating period, Pete. Shouldn't we at least get 24 hours?

I'm with Pete.  We can act like we've been there, unlike Temple, who has never been there.  I'm actually rooting for Akron so the Kent game is meaningless.  Temple is out of my mind in 3, 2, 1.........

It is all about Kent right now.  We need to take care of our own business and not worry about others helping us.

I trust our coaches and team leaders will emphasize to everyone how Kent handed us our heads last season. We owe them one.

I am pretty sure that after last season the boys are not going to look past the Kent State Golden Flashes.
What in the hell is a Golden Flash anyway?  Is it some kind of variation of a Golden Shower?

Wait - I thought a golden flash was what happened right after a Kent student says "I wonder what happens if i stick this paperclip in this electric socket."

This game terrifies me. We have a tendency to play down to our competition, and we're set up for a let down after a huge win. Kent has nothing to lose and we have everything to lose. Throw in the fact that it's a road game on the day after Thanksgiving, and it's a recipe for a potential disaster.

Someone talk some sense into me.

^ ^ ^ I completely agree C Money...I will be rooting hard for Temple next week.  The thought of dropping this one and have freaking Miami win the MAC East is truly appauling.

I don't trust Temple to help us. At all.  Especially after getting their bubble burst last night. Plus, backing into the title game wouldn't be all that appealing, either.

Brian Smith, your avatar alone could beat Kent State.  All kidding aside, I believe we're going to take care of business vs the Flashes.  Don't need help from anybody!  As Russ and Rob stated, this team is still pissed about last year's game vs Kent.  Whether Miami had lost to Akron or not, this game means a lot to these seniors.

C Money, you need look no further back than our last two games against Temple.

Each was an elimination game. And we brought full force to the table.

I will trust our focus.

I think we'll beat Kent, but you never know when you're playing a non-terrible team on the road.  A couple flukey turnovers/plays and bam you lose.  And I'd rather back into the championship than having friggin Miami in there...yuck.

I agree with others on here that this could be a scary game.  When I did my predictions for this season this was the one I predicted as our lone MAC loss.  Then I predicted it because we would already would have locked up the MAC East title after the Temple game, thus it would become a trap game.  It still is, but thankfully this game will actually be vital to making the MACC so I have a greater hope that we won't have a let down.  However is it to much to ask that for the team's Thanksgiving meal that they give the boys a holiday ham instead of tryptophan (turkey).

We have to get the secondary to push it up a notch or two and Boo needs to get his rhythm back in his passing game. If this happens and the rest of the team functions as well as it has the past few weeks then the game is ours.

If not we could be in for a dog fight. I do believe that we have the staff to get it all together.

GO BOBCATS!

Not that I don't think we can beat Can't handily but I'd sure like to see us be able to rest some for the MACC and get some key 2 / 3 deeps valuable experience that will come into play closing out the season.

Considering what we saw last night, Temple absolutely ROLLS Fiami without Dysert.  That game for them boils down to proving they're worthy of the MAC #3 bowl bid over Toledo / Fiami... They'll show up...

I find it hard to believe that Miami will beat Temple without Dyesert. A lacerated spleen sounds like it would hurt a lot. I'll be rooting against Miami (notice I didn't say for Temple) just in case. If Ohio brings the same intensity, it should beat Kent State, but the Golden Flashes potentially could be playing to be bowl eligible, which could be pretty good incentive. Their defense is tough. I still think Ohio is much better, but not so much better that it's a given to win, especially on the road.
