Guys...places like Vegas and new Orleans ALWAYS have visitors so I can't believe tickets sold and people make a big difference to them. You may be correct on some of the other cities but we may not be going to any of them anyway.
Maybe that's why they had the second lowest payout of all bowl games last year (the bowl formerly known as papajohns.com in Birmingham has the lowest). I can't believe their sponsor would continue to foot the bill if they're not a money-maker, though. (Not assuming that they aren't.)
By the way, they've issued a press release that they will make the announcement by 1:00 ET Sunday.
The teacher from Kansas visiting Vegas or New Orleans is not likely ot notice the football game and decide,of the moment, Oh, I think I will go see Ohio play ball. these games are promotions to bring new $$$$ to the areas. A traveling fan base will take time. Stringing two winning seasons will help. It is all about winning, the experience, people enjoy it want to be a part of it, share in it. At Ohio winning is still just getting started. I wonder if some here are in it for the long haul. You won't get the OSU feel from two winning seasons, it will take years. Cherish it, it is fragile, one hasty decision and poof ala Cincinnati.
