Which is just down the street from Nicolas Cage's haunted house:  LaLaurie Mansion

Tour Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World was also worth a good couple hours

....and don't forget Pat O'Briens.

That's great news! I can't wait to see the Ohio Marching 110 perform. Having seen the BGSU and CMU bands I'd say that the MAC has some great bands.

You ain't seen nothing yet!!  You've had hamburger. Get ready for filet mignon.

Same here with the Sound of the South! We have one of the best Band around! Every time we go and play an SEC team we ALWAYS blow their band out of the water, and people on the SEC boards always talk about how much better our band was than theirs was. But Its good to hear yall talk so highly about your band! Sounds like it will be an entertaining game with the bands too!!!

Should be.  More entertaining will be the 110 marching down Bourbon Street.  I made a trip to Disney for Thanksgiving about 7 years ago at the same time as the band.  Nothing like seeing them march down Main Street in an evening parade.  There were a number of Ohio alum along the streets.  Every time a band went by in the parade people were like, "oh aren't they good."  We all just kept saying, "you have no idea what is coming down the street."

Trying to get to N.O. but son's b-ball game looks like it will get in the way.  Would love to be in a bar when the band approaches.  Good Times!

I'm a huge Jean Lafitte's fan. Just head down Bourbon til you think you went too far and there it is. I like the Abita Amber though, and save the Hurricanes for Pat O'Briens.

Tennessee board was pretty impressed with the 110 last season -- although their band countered us with a rousing rendition of "How Much is That Doggie in the Window" -- no joke!

Listened to a few of the videos of your group on YouTube -- it sounds like halftime alone will be worth the price of admission.  Sadly, I'll have to listen to someone yammer on about Oregon and Auburn instead.  Boo.  Make sure somebody takes some video!

Check out this video of the "Sound of the South". This was in 2007 I think.

your band sounds really good AT, thanks for the clips. I was raised on Corps style marching bands like Troy's and always enjoy seeing a good one. Ohio's band is more of a Show style band that uses a high march step and mostly block configurations and contemporary tunes. Although it does look like both bands share an affinity for 70s southern rock. The Marching 110's most recognizable song is the Doobie Brother's 'Long Train Runnin'.

Here's a clip from the Tennessee game last year that hghlight some of the more Show style aspects-

and here's the 110 playing Long Train at Ohio State's skull session this year-

looks like half time alone will be worth the price of admission for this game. Should be a good one.
