Buyout could be too big here, but wouldn't be shocked. You guys think Athens and the OU academic community is bad about spending money on athletics, Boulder and CU are 10x worse. This coupled with the uncertainty in where the PAC 12's money comes from and how much will be there may make them go into a lame duck situation.

So you're saying we should add Colorado to the MAC?

tbh he never made sense for Colorado and that was a retread that could have stayed out in the garage another few years. No reason for them to even consider him as a coach then, and looks even worse now.

Coach Geoff Collins and AD Todd Stansbury have been dismissed at Georgia Tech. Time to ramp up the Deion Sanders rumors!

Another to watch out for: Boise State

Fired their OC this weekend after losing to UTEP by three scores. Andy Avalos is 9-7 so far and four of their next five games include San Diego State, Fresno State, Air Force and BYU.

For those keeping track at home: Boise State hasn't had a losing season since 1997.

Combine that with Harsin being potentially available, definitely in play

Jay Norvell inherited a tire fire at CSU thanks to Urban Meyer's buddy Steve Addazio. Colorado State is effectively in a Year 0. They could go 0-12 and it wouldn't matter.

The football coaching world is getting crazier every year. Successful seasons are soon forgotten, expectations are out of sight and the money thrown around is astronomical.

Just a reminder:
Cryst buyout-16.4 million ( negotiated to 11 million)
Frost-15 million
Collins-11.4 million
Edwards-8.3 million
Dorrell-8.2 million

Yes, even at Marshall nearly half the fans on herdfans.com are now calling for Huff to be fired, after he lost to BGSU and Troy. The victory over Notre Dame seems a dim memory only three weeks later. This is, obviously, just a very small reflection of the magnitude of the problem, but it's one very close to OHIO geographically and in other aspects as well.

Dorrell out at Colorado and the big shocker: Wisconsin has parted ways with Paul Chryst.

Leipold to Wisconsin after winning multiple national titles at Whitewater is a lot more intriguing than Leipold to Nebraska.

"Even at Marshall?" This is SOP for Marshall fans, arguably among the worst in mid-major football.

Between Nebraska, Wisconsin, Auburn, and possibly ASU (and others) bidding on him, the Leipold family is looking at (being able to afford) a very extravagant Christmas
