* Not losing 6 offensive linemen before the season starts like we did this year.
* Finding an effective QB.
*Finding a pass rusher.
If our offensive line and QB and D-line struggle then we are doomed.....just call me Nostradumbarse.
I think most people have forgotten the lose of Bunner, Davis, Pinder, Flowers, Laudermilch, and Carlotta from what should have been a very, very deep offensive line. The guys that were left did a fine job most of the season, but throw in a little extra depth, and maybe some of them could have actually taken time off to nurse injuries. I wonder how many of the front five were fully healthy by the end of the season?
Too your list of things you hope doesn't happen next year, you could probably add not losing your best offensive and defensive players. The losses of Brazill, Moore, and Keller were also not helpful to 2010. Really, when you look at the losses on the line, and to key players, 2010 could have been a lot worse.
Stuff will no doubt go wrong next year, too, but i remain very optimistic about 2011. Any time you return all 5 starters on the offensive line, and all but one of the backups, that's a good start. Factor in a weak schedule and opportunity knocks.
