When the comment was made OSU was 72nd, and people used that to blast the comments. They ended at 18, that is a quality schedule and he has every right to talk about his teams schedule. Now his comments on TCU and Boise are not the smartest, however the numbers suggest that Boise did not play the schedule of the top teams in the nation.

The problem is he wasn't speaking about his team...He was speaking about his conference (who habitually practice the Sisters of the Poor OOC scheduling) and who's quality depth can be counted with 2 or 3 fingers more years than not.

If by "not the smartest" you mean completely void of fact or reason then I agree...

Boise State finished 56th this year in SOS...Does that mean that if Northwestern (60th), Illinois (74th), Purdue (77th) or Indiana (81st), had managed to finish 12-1, they shouldn't be qualified to play in a BCS game?   It's called logic Mr. Gee and one would think a University President would be familiar with the concept...

Big10 scheduling is a double edge sword for us. We are their "little sisters" and without their money we wouldn't exist.

And yes I will say that in my opinion an underrated Indiana would not belong in a BCS title game. I've said all along I don't think a perfect record is a free pass into a championship or in some cases a BCS game.

Completely agree regarding the double edged sword...I'm not speaking as a Bobcat fan here though, but rather as a Non AQ supporter.

Your last statement reflects your feelings and not Gee's or Delaney's (whom my argument is directed at).  I can guarantee they wouldn't share your objectiveness and that is a blatant double standard, which makes them no better than the school bully.

I've never said TCU deserved a place in the BCS Title game this year.  Both Auburn and Oregon deserved their bids due to SOS and undefeated records...Now if either of those teams had lost a game, I would absolutely support TCU being allowed to play for the Championship.  My point is, and has always been, that Non AQ teams deserve the same shake as BCS teams do regarding BCS bids.

The powers that be (and the bought and paid for Media) tainted Boise and Utah's BCS wins with SOS arguments...Last year they hid from the issue by pairing Boise and TCU...This year there was no hiding from TCU or their SOS and the Frogs finally publicly exposed what rational fans already knew.

So Monroe, you really think if we run the tables next year with our schedule (note: I hope we do), you think we belong in the National Title game????
