Jeff Mckinney....you are correct on you attendance estimates.  I was at the  Ohio vs.  So. Miss game, and I am on my way home back from the Miami ,  MTSU game .   That picture that was shown earlier  in this message stream was for sure at the very end of the game, or before the game.  The crowd was close to the crowd when we played Southern Miss...but not as big.   Miami travels terribly......but I must say......they had some folks there.   the battle of the bands reminded me of a battle the redskins won at Little big Horn....but in reverse....they were no match for MTSU show band last nite.  Miami football needs to be viewed in a new light imo.   Their players and staff remaining showed me something in the last 5 weeks or so.  They were flying all over the field last night....and deserved the win....without a doubt.   Treadwell will return to his alma mater......and will build on this past year big time.  He has a young quarterback that is returning for three more years...and barring injury is my pre-season pick for offensive player of  the year 2011.  The question is....will the Bobcats have an answer for the new addition of the Miami Redskins?   We better find a quarterback......they already have theirs.

Yes, that photo is very late in the game. The locals in Mobile generally leave after halftime for a number of reasons - it's a work night, the weather was not bad at game time, but you start to really feel the cold by halftime, and the length of the game is so drawn out by the numerous TV time outs and play reviews. The incessant stoppage of play is somewhat tolerable in pleasant weather, but not if it is cold or raining.

It was one of the better actual in-the-seats crowd I've seen at the game. I was pleasantly suprised. As far as I remember, this was the first time the MAC fans sat on the home side of the stadium.

The weather was excellent the night before the game for the Mardi Gras parade and the pep rallies. Everyone I talked to from both schools had a blast.

Mobile gets the first pick from the MAC next year. I would like to see nothing better than the 110 marching down Royal St. in the Mardi Gras parade one year from now.

congrats Miami, you couldn't have had the biggest turn around in NCAA history if you hadn't sucked so horribly bad last year. Congrats for being recognized for sucking less this year, but don't ever forget, Miami Sucks.
