Jason Arkley absolutely slams my boy Marty in an opinion piece, finally brings to public light the practice of waiting on the side for parents to drop off their kids at basketball camp to write tickets, and waiting on the football team on check in day.

On a brighter note, word is Marty is standing at work today because his backside was absolutely ripped yesterday afternoon!  A little too late but better late than never!  Only problem is will this guy be able to process common sense?

OU PARKING SERVICES - Is the POOREST run & most RUDE business I've ever seen. I get issued a Commuter Pass but get an email today saying they want it back b/c of their error. I'd only get a partial refund b/c of their error & if I do not comply, I will be towed or booted. WHAT??? How is this my fault or problem? The lady was very rude & said too bad. They haven't heard the last of me. :(

Not to mention, another friend of mine was ticketed the other night in a purple lot, AFTER the 5PM opening of the lot.  What?!

Can someone please say what the hell this article said? Fine, we're not allowed to paste things in fulltext even though the likelihood of anyone at the Mess even knowing how to file a DMCA is zero because if any of those idiots knew how the Internet worked they wouldn't be behind a paywall to begin with. Yeah, there is a guy in a corner office of Parking Services that can't sit down because his backside is too sore.  University is making Parking Services put in a loading zone at Peden (at Parking Services cost).  This little incident coupled with the fact that FedEx and UPS were threatening non-delivery to Ohio University due to $1,000 per month in fines (while making deliveries and pick ups at campus buildings) that someone got a burr up their butt and passed it on down the line in making their point loud and clear.   Like a dog trying to get on the couch though this little beat down will soon be forgotten and they will be back to their old tricks.

glad to see that this situation is being resolved.  after reading these posts on here it seems like it was a pretty speedy turnaround and change of attitude by parking services.  are they really re-painting the parking lot already??

I try not to be given to schadenfreude, but this kind of "boot to the butt" couldn't have happened to a lower bunch of humans than Parking Services. They got me for $100 bucks once on about the most bogus charge ever that they were fully in the wrong about. And having gone to OU and worked for OU, I bore witness firsthand to their series of heavy-handed wrongness, army of ticket-happy student bozos and pack of know-nothing leaders. So, so glad the university put a boot on Parking Services's butt, I mean wheel. Hard to imagine a unit of a university that is so anti-student and anti-University rank-and-file. You're the parking police, you twerps. That's a step below mall cop, and everyone knows it. Here's hoping their little tin-pot dictatorship gets overwhelmed with shock and awe.
