I know that strange things happen in Athens, but how much smarts does it take to figure out what is going when an equipment truck is parked at the stadium before a big away game?  Parking Services stricks again....didn't the same group ticket players that were at an away game a few years ago?

Too funny, maybe common sense is on vacation today...

You can email this dude:

paulinsm@ohio.edu

Marty Paulins - Director of Parking Services

To someone in Athens, is his wife the Retail Professor? I liked her. Good lady.

Marty Paulins director of parking services is  a ______ _________ (let you fill in the blanks) , who has no back bone and even less common sense!  How he still has a job is way beyond me.  After issuing over 60 tickets to football players while they are checking in during the first day of practice, to ticketing over 50 parents dropping off their kids to basketball camp in June.  They single handed do more damage to community relations than anyone could imagine.

This would seem funny and ironic, certainly, but does anyone have proof that this actually happened?

I told him the same thing to his face two years ago when he lied to me about who he was.  He could take a refresher course in public relations.   I understand the need for Parking Services, but that department is very poorly run.

We could be a lethal combination.  Two problems named Aaron with too much passion (and common sense) for our school, huh?

I know the person who did this has to be a State fan, right?   Run the Parking Nazi's out of town please.

Lets be honest this is the same idiot who ticketed a first responder to a death on campus last year for parking his state car on the curb.  How does this moron have a job?

Seriously. I see the picture, but I still don't believe it. It just can't be.

A truck that says Ohio Athletics is parked in an Ohio athletics lot next to an Ohio athletics facility. How is this even possible?

I see you've met him 695:  He loves to do that, if he is in the office he will lie about his identity so he does not have to answer to a disgruntled customer.

We have public record laws. It will be possible to find out who specifically placed this boot.

Someone on campus, get to work.

This is just flat out pathetic and inexcusable.  It also shows how much "Bobcat Pride" spreads around our campus .

This clown would probably put a boot on an ambulance or a hearse given the chance!

This did happen back in 05 (06?) after the Rutgers game.  We had flown out of Pakersburg and were supposed to fly back there, however there was to much fog, which forced us to land in Columbus.  We had to wait for the busses to drive from Parkersburg to pick us up.  We didn't get back to Athens till 8 am Sunday morning....and we had parking tickets waiting for us.

What kind of a dip stick calls in for a boot for an Ohio vehicle that prolly is sporting state license  plates? Better yet, the DB that put it on the truck....?

Last week alone parking services issued over $1,000 dollars to Pepsi Trucks who are delivering to campus buildings.  Pepsi just laughs, and tosses them.  This begs the question, Pepsi directly provides well over $1 Million dollars to Ohio University for pouring rights, and this is how we treat our business partners.  Wake up Marty!  Use a little common.

President is well aware of this situation and the multitude of other stupid tricks this outfit has pulled in the past 6 months or more.  We already visited (pre-crash), how Marty and his minions were waiting on basketball camp check-in, parents would take their kids into the Convo, then they would literally jump out of the bushes and write a $30 ticket.  Marty and "boy wonders" who carry their handy-dandy note books gave basketball three "guest" passes for 200+ parents to "drop" their kids off.  Of course we also have them nailing over 50 football players on check-in day at Peden Stadium this August.  This guy shouldn't have the authority of a mall cop!

The sad thing is that whoever put the boot on the truck was probably instructed to do so by the powers-that-be.

Anxious to see what the administration plans to do for the rest of the football season and moving forward.  I am sure there will be more to come from this.

100% correct, the decision came from the top dog, one Marty Pualins, who thinks he is untouchable, like I said earlier, he has even ordered a ticket be given to a 1st responder in a state car responding to a death on campus.
