Of course Temple can host a school with such a huge following like Notre Dame since they play in an NFL stadium.

Is this the Brian Kelly effect with Notre Dame now willing to schedule MAC schools? With them playing WMU this past year and now Temple in 2014, maybe Kelly has convinced the Irish that he could handle all the MAC when he was with Central Mich., so there's no chance of Notre Dame facing an embarrassing loss to a MAC school like Michigan did with Toledo a few years back.

There will certainly be plenty of seats for the thousands of East Coast Domers.  I'd love to know how the team shares were negotiated for this one.

The two games Temple hosts vs PSU and ND will bring in more people than your entire OOC Home schedule for the next 5 years.

Yea Templeton's that's why the Big East is considering Villanova. Somehow the Big East Braintrust hasn't gotten the memo of the superior drawing power of the Mighty Owls.

You may be right, but there's one problem; there'll be as many if not more PSU fans there than Temple fans.  Notre Dame could be the same way.

Haven't seen Marshall in Peden so you'll have to explain it to me.

We shall see how they travel this time around, but the other times they came to Peden they were by far the majority of the crowd, and much more vocal than our home fans.

I love when Marhsall comes to Athens because they shame the tower side stands (including me) into getting loud and into the game.

And, for the most part, the Herdistan who travel are nice folks.

Even though they make their presence known, they have never been the majority of the crowd. I agree with the other post though that their fans actually shame our fans into actually getting into the game. Let's face it, our football fans kinda suck. not enough people show up, and the ones that do are often quite lame and don't swear enough.

The best thing about how the Herd travels to Athens is that they come in droves and pay FULL price for the tickets.

As Lynne could attest, I do a pretty good job of upping the Tower swearing quotient...

MH55 - again, we beat your ass (again). Back to Mom's basement.

Next - and why is it that The Luckeyes can't play MAC schools on the road again(I can't wait to hear the replies for the 1,000,000th time)?

Say what you want Wanna but I only remember one game against Terd U where we did not represent (in Athens).

It's because they know that MAC stadia can't hold all the Cowtowners who would want to attend the game, so if they can't make everyone happy, they just won't come.

They won't go to Boise for the same reason.

My question was actually serious.. Does Ohio have a deal with Ohio State that brings them to Athens ever?

No because we don't play in an NFL stadium.  Just like Notre Dame & PSU wouldn't come to Philly without the huge and under-utilized stadium.

Marshall never out-numbered our fans in Athens.  Maybe were louder (when they were winning), but no way they had more fans than us.  I'm excited for their return to Athens this year.
