Very tragic, RIP Big Man !   My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  Marcellis was a big man and I really admired the way he ran hard off the field when he was subbed in for. He literally sprinted off the field to the sideline, instead of jog. Marcellis Williamson will be deeply missed.

Here's an interview that Marcellis did with Russ last season.

We average fans don't hear much about players' personal lives unless they get into trouble.  We heard nothing but good about Marcellis.  From what I've read today, he was a hard worker on and off the field, and cared deeply about his friends.  My condolences to those close to him.

I can remember a couple of times watching him on the sidelines when the "O" was on the field.  Great intensity and an even greater smile!  RIP and may God bless and bring peace to the family.

He seemed to love playing football and life in general. It's unfortunate his was so short. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Sending my deepest sympathy to Marcellis's family, friends and Bobcat team.  Life is what happens.  Attitude is what we do with it.  Praying for something positive to result from the death of a great young man, #62.

RIP big guy....any bobcat attackers in the cleveland area who would like to organize some flowers to send over to the funeral home once details come out?

Once I see the details, I will order a "62" in green and white flowers under the name of Bobcat Nation. Anyone who would like to contribute a buck or two send me a PM. More importantly, however, contribute to the Memorial fund.

Hey all, we did a full show devoted to Marcellis yesterday on WATH's "The Sports Fan." You'll hear from Frank Solich, Julian Posey, Noah Keller and Jeff King, as well as "Voice of the Bobcats" Russ Eisenstein and former OU football sideline reporter Caleb Troop. All remembered #62 as a big man with a bigger heart.

I hope Ohio Athletics will enshrine Marcellis's last facebook post in the locker room along with a memorial..I would defiently donate toward this. He was a BOBCAT thru and thru...I had the pleasure of visiting Subway restuarant and having several lunches with Marcellis last year and wow what a great young man he was...He bleed GREEN AND WHITE...and from him talking about his upbring and the tough times he went through as a youngster to him graduating and being a Ohio Bobcat Athlete he would just smile so big when he spoke of Ohio. He was and still is The Biggest Bobcat to everyone that knew him.

Ohio Football will be providing busses for the players to see their fellow teammate lain to rest...I hope our  fans can get together to pay their respects to this great man. I am for sure taking off work when they announce the date. RIP Marcellis

Can anyone Photoshop a design similar to the banner being hung at Peden? I'd like to use that as an avatar for awhile.

Maybe a tee shirt of this could be a decent fundraiser....I'd buy a couple for me and my boys.

terribly tragic and sad. Hustlebelt posted MW's last Facebook post-

I am blessed to have waken up this morning!! Enjoy today because tomorrow isn't guaranteed!!

just sad.

Can anyone confirm this as being his actual facebook status? If so I am considering making a T-Shirt with this quote on the back and 62 on the front. I remember practicing against Marcellis every day my senior year. It was his freshman year and he was the scout team nose guard so I saw him all the time. Such a great person on and off the field. It is a true tragedy to lose such an awesome individual!

I will confirm that was his exact words and punctuation.  However, the link to that comment cannot be displayed, possibly due to some policy of theirs.

You could read it if you were listed in the "Ohio" network for a short period of time (Wednesday night) but was removed by the next evening.

I didn't even know him personally, but shed a tear when I read that he was gone.  It must be so much more difficult on those that played with him.

I can also confirm that it is an exact quote, I saw it on Hustlebelt and they had a link to the fb page that was visible at the time. Friends were posting personal messages on it so I didn't post it here.
