Flading, Keller, Weller & Hershey 1st team; Brazill, Strum, Herman 2nd team; Thompson, Carrie, Benjamin 3rd team; Jones 4th team.  Gotta feel some optimism with this.

I know what you're getting at:  A lot of Ohio University Bobcat football players oughta be not very happy for the lack of consideration shown.  Bring the chip on the shoulder from the first whistle to the whole, long, big year.

Carl had great numbers last year from his second team spot. What will he do with more snaps?! I see him as at least a second teamer.

We will have a bunch of athletic D liners in the rotation and of course Carl will be a big part of that.

The questions for any unit will include can they stop the run.....especially in the red zone......and can they apply QB pressure.

Guys like Carl should help in the QB pressure and experienced guys like Neil Huynh should help stop the run......Neil is listed at over 300 and  at the spring game looked every bit of it....and mostly muscle.

Can't wait to hear how 8 (including 1 less named to 1st team and 0 named to 2nd team) = more "swagger" than 11...

This ought to be good...

That's quite a piece of journalism you're quoting there Mark...

Not even enough research to uncover the fact that we have both Keller and Brazill coming back but on the positive side, did mention that we have our offensive line "in tack"...

I dont get it either, bob. Let's see, according to Official Mac Record Books, we both were considered East Division Winners in 2009...and we both lost Bowl games. Then last year, neither of us won the Division, you were aided considerably by your wins over Wofford and ULL, where our wins against Bowl Invitees UConn and Army was disregarded. Ohio was then extended the priviledge of getting run over in New Orleans while "]["emple vastly improved its coaching staff.

I dont understand why the national press has so little respect, actualy consistently none,  for Ohio FB. Ohio BB, "Woefforsdville" as it is, of course, but Ohio FB too ??? Me no get. Is it shedule quality? lack of marquee players, Rufus embarrasing forays, Athens itself ????

Sounds like they took into account the academic accomplishments of the two teams - 2010 APR levels - Ohio ranked #37 in the NCAA with a 953.  Temple ranked 108 (out of 120) with a 926.

926 is still compliant. Kind of like the guy who graduates last in his class from medical school, he's still a doctor.

Would the Administrator please consider putting up a countdown to that Gardner Webb tilt?

Phil Steele has Ohio winning the MAC East, having double digit wins, ranked in top 40 playing in GoDaddy bowl and feasting on the #120 "hardest" strength of schedule.  Should be a fun year.

Steele's preview has Phil Bates listed as a potential WR or RB when he comes back from injury. Any of you attackers out there have proof to this little rumor? I personally think that's a great idea. Bates running ability can not go unused.

Steele has Brazil and Dunlop and Bates spread wide as the primary receivers.

If I'm a D coordinator that look is more than scary....throw in Thompson or Hill or Roback at TE and it's a plethora of dangerous receivers.
