Thank god we took a pass on this character. I haven't seen so many Kush/Pot/Weed/Smoke references since a certain rapper with 49 you tube views made his way into town from Florida. This kid is an accident waiting to happen.

Got to love our boy Stevie Fresh!

I was wrong - 40 you tube views.

I for one wish Steve all the luck on his hip-hop pursuits. It shouldn't surprise anyone that some 20 year old kids have trouble juggling school, year around athletics and the 7 night per week party on Court St.

It's incredibly immature to mock a young kid who has done nothing to you personally except quit the sports team that you like. Though I guess it helps some people feel better about their own shortcomings.

EDIT: And actually, that beat is pretty dope.

Great Video Stevie! I for one applaud the guy for making the unpopular choice to leave the team. His heart wasnt in basketball and he followed what he feels like is his calling at this point in his life...so many of you talk down on Steve Coleman and his choice to leave Ohio but realistically how many of you now wish you had taken a year or two and followed a DREAM even if it wasnt Div1 athletics which is becoming more and more like professional athetics. Leave the kid alone  I am excited to see his future musical endeavors

To at least some small extent realism should inform one's decisions.  I was never going to make the NBA.  And Stevie Fresh's music be rotten.

+1 as a Bobcat bball fan I was dissapointed he left the team but as a former 20 year old with a dream (and current older dude with a mortgage) I say best of luck to Stevie Fresh.

haters gonna hate.

In fact Graham, P, you have made an incorrect statement.  Despite the change in the model of music distribution over the last half dozen or so years, I have to believe that the goal is to have a catalog of music which sells thru the ages.  I imagine that Beatles, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson tunes (regardless of whether you or I like them) are among the best sellers every year.  It used to be that artists got worked on their first hit and made the money on subsequent music.  And it's very difficult to have that 2nd hit--hence the expression 'one-hit wonder.'

Beside no one wanting to buy that Fresh now, are you going to be still listening to it 20 years from now or will the next generation be buying it 20 years from now?  I admit that commerical sales may not be the best measure of artistic talent.  But my ears don't lie.  That is not tuneful or distinct in any pleasant way.
