These previews are REALLY good. The fact that he knows about the Kozak incident, who looked good in the spring game, etc. is really impressive. It's nice to see a "national" person who knows what they're talking about, for once.

It was so good and detailed and Ohio was rated so highly, I wondered if the author might have some connection to the Bobcats, but I was unable to find out any further information about him.

I didn't get that feeling at all. Rather I had the impression of someone that did his work. In particular I had the feeling that for each team he follows he browsed their message boards. For Ohio, he browsed none other than Bobcatattack.com, and seemed surprised that this was the place for Bobcat football, rather than the "usual suspects".

Yeah, there was no real reason from what he wrote to think he was biased. It was just that most national writers indeed to not take the time to research that much when writing about the MAC.

I've said it before, and I still believe this...those who do their homework on the Bobcats do it here. Even some of the talking heads on FSOhio, STO, even ESPN seem to lift story lines and dialog directly from BA.com.

Back in 2005 when I wanted to learn about the Bobcats, I ended up here because this was the place to be if you wanted to know Bobcat sports.. It's still just as true today. While Rivals and Scout can set up message boards, they can't replicate the knowledge of the posters here. Sure, some spammers find their way here from other schools, but they are irrelevant, and everyone here knows that. We come for the inside scoop from guys that attend practice, or have their ear to the ground. You just aren't going to find a staff like Mike, Jeff, Ted, and Ryan on Scout. I started to name some of the posters, too, but there are so many good ones that I could name a dozen and still leave at least that many good ones out. It's a great bunch of people, here, no doubt about it.
