You all acted like you had this pristine gated community with no imperfections, and then out of nowhere, a bunch of hooligans came in, started graffiting your walls, breaking windows, and setting buildings on fire.
I know a lot of Marshall fans who take the same attitude towards WVU fans (although the fires can be more than metaphors). Like when Marshall fans get upset when a store sells WVU merchandise but not Marshall. BOYCOTT!!!! RABBLE!!!!
But hey, that's WVU. Completely different situation, right?
So you're comparing real situations to message board banter?
Oh ok, I get it now. A store doesn't sell Marshall stuff, and that's just a travesty, because that store, man, THAT'S REAL. REAL REAL. But typing on a computer isn't really REAL. I mean, yeah, my computer is real. And my keyboard is real. And my fingers are real. But the product that comes out of those three combined, so totally not real. And Home Depot selling WVU merchandise is horrible. Absolutely horrible. And disrespectful. And boycottable. Because it's REAL. But anything on the internets, well that's completely innocent and fine and excusable. Because it's not real. Just the internets.
Except....What if you can buy WVU merchandise on the Home Depot website? That's real, because you can really buy it. But it's not real, because it's the internets. But...wait...huh? What just happened? My mind is sufficiently blown. I think I need to make a stop in Meigs County Saturday morning so I can contemplate this real versus non-real thing some more at the game. Maybe I'll join you guys at Chipotle afterwards.
