Just made my reservations at the Hampton Inn in South Plainfield/Piscataway, NJ.  I wondered how many other board members were planning on making the trip.

Hoping to make trip to Rutgers.  Also, would like to travel to NYC via a transit bus or rail from the Rutgers area.  We have heard that convenient transit is available from a motel near New Brunswick or Somerset so that one does not have to drive into NYC.  Any info on this?  GO BOBCATS!!!

Ohio84: Well, I'm trying to convince my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter to take the train from NYC to attend the game with us.  So far I don't have any commitments.  I said I'd pay for the train and football tickets.  In an initial check I found the train tickets are going to be much more expensive than the football tickets.  It's convenient but pricey!

SBH . . . yes my wife knows exactly where we are going and why.  Over the years she's adjusted to my Ohio football (and basketball) obsession.

Don't know where you're looking but NJ Transit has service between New Brunswick and Penn Station for $13.00 for adults and $5.75 for children. I think that's pretty reasonable.

Hmm . . . I was going on what my wife found on the internet.  If you have a URL for NJ Transit, please let me know.  Thanks.  -- OCF

I'll be there. Staying with some family in Central Jersey and driving up for the game.

Here's a visitors guide I found on the Rutgers message board that should answer many questions you may have: http://texanmarktailgate.blogspot.com/2011/07/rutgers-tai...

+4 for the game. I am told that the Alumin office is planning for 400 people at the pre game bash! You can register for the bash at the Ohio main website under alumni events.

The Nation's Capital Chapter still has tickets for this game at a reasonable price - $25 each.

Email me at oubobcat33@hotmail.com if you need some.

Seats in the same section as Ohio fans and the NE and Philly Chapter.

I hope the Alum office, Athletics and all other arms of the University are shaking the tree to get O-H-I-O fans to this game.  This team.

If anybody has two more tickets they'd like to unload and is willing to cut a deal then PM me. I'm trying to go but I'm also traveling to the homecoming game and they don't pay grad students all that well.

+1 ..... going to Yankees game Thurs. nite..Mets game Fri. nite...Bobcats on Sat..  BTW if your flying in to Newark there is an Air Train non-stop that only takes 20 min. in to NYC and cost 12.50.  I was told by the Holiday Inn Express in New Brunswick that it takes 1 hr 20 min on the train from there.  They suggested it's faster and easier to drive to the baseball games but we decided to stay in Flushing first two nites.  Don't have my folder with me but the transit authority has an interactive map for subway planning in NYC. you can google interactive NYC subway/train maps
