You guys suck.

Well, not all of you. The 10 of you that were at the game are cool.

Well, on the MAC feed all I could see was the student section. And there was about 10 dudes there.

I don't want to hear any of this "if we win, the people will show..." stuff anymore. The last home game was crazy exciting, and then look at this. Absolutely disgraceful.

I'm also super sick of hearing about students leaving at half time. Yes, the band is fun to watch...but are you telling me that in 2011 kids are still down with marching bands? Enough to get out of their beds before 1 PM, come to the game and watch a MARCHING BAND for twenty minutes and then leave?! Again, a MARCHING BAND. That would have to be one crazy dope marching band.

In conclusion: A MARCHING BAND?!

So after dismissing the students and the 110, is there anything else vital to the Ohio University experience you'd like to carpetbomb? Do you hate bricks?

While PG is engaging in a little hyperbole, there is truth in his message.  At the end of the 4th Quarter there were maybe 1,000 students left on the student side -- some of them came over to the old fart side to watch the post game 110 show.  As someone said last week, it would be a good idea for the pa guy to mention (maybe even hype) the post game show.  Nonetheless, our student body really does need a shot of "school spirit serum."  Perhaps they give those along with flu shots at Hudson this fall.

If they're giving them at Hudson nobody will get them because students know to avoid it unless they absolutely can't. As far as attendance is concerned I think maybe the loss at Rutgers was a big letdown and we lost some bandwagon types. I think we'll see an impressive turnout at Homecoming (I'll be there!! wooo!!!) and if we take care of business between now and Temps we'll see a good turnout for that game too.

It take A LOT of time but I'm sticking with 'if we win they will come."

now you're bad mouthing the Marching 110? any other scared cows of the OU experience you want to disparage? what's next, are you going to tell us that its no fun to shack up with co-eds and that Old Milwaukee's Best doesn't taste really really good?

when you bad mouth the 110 aren't you bad mouthing the entire University? and when you bad mouth OU aren't you bad mouthing our country's educational system in general? And isn't that an endictment of our entire American society? Well, you can say what you want about me, but I'm not going to sit here and listen to you bad mouth THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Those relying on the MAC feed to determine student participation should forfeit all right to criticize student participation.

What can be done to keep students at the game in freezing cold rain versus a bad Kent State team?  Not sure there is much we can do, but I would like to see the Athletics Dept. try and be a little more creative on how to keep butts in seats.  I'm sure it is one of those "if you build it.. they will stay" type things.  I'll leave that problem to the great Frank Solich.

You are calling the students out for their attendance, but did not attend the game yourself?  Where the heck were you?  What a clown.

Hey brah', I live 8 hours away!

If you like football and live on campus and (I assume) enjoyed yourself at the last game....how do you not show up for the next one? It's literally a max 10 minute walk. I walk farther in the morning to get coffee.

And if you are showing up just to watch a marching band, then something is seriously wrong with you.

Wasn't referring to anyone in particular.  I just know that some parents (maybe not you) want to spend quality time with their kids during Parents Weekend and don't consider sitting in a damp, chilly outdoor stadium to watch a game against a 1-3 team to be optimal quality time.  Especially when the game might be available on a big screen at a sports bar or even a dorm somewhere.

Have a nice day.

Woah Woah Woah... I was at the game, and I am also a student. Have some faith, there were students there. Just spread out and sitting with their parents.

It was a 40 degree game, with a drizzle, against a 1-3 Kent State team, and the Buckeye game was on at 3:30. I'm pretty sure there is a little overreaction going on here. No matter how many games you win or how bad you beat Marshall the previous home game, it's hard to get anyone in the seats with those conditions. Why are we so upset? It was Kent State. If we have this problem for a homecoming game, Miami, or MAC title game clinching game, then I might be a little upset.

That is a joke!  You cannot have any credibility calling students out for not attending the game in bonechilling rain, when you were off doing yoga during the first half.
