I don't know, JSF.  I do know that success beyond what's been achieved for many, many years could give anyone a big head.  Youngsters are probably more susceptible to this than older folks (though older folks have this happen to--see the number of lottery winners who are broke a few years later.)

A true champion plays through to the end.  I just hope we do that.  No stumbling blocks (kents, troy) this year!

I'd like to see the pre-season prediction thread on here, again.  I think that many had an undefeated season and a lot had 10-11 victories.  That ain't easy.  It takes a really focused team to get that.

I think we can do it.  But it ain't easy.

I thought the bowl ite-ins were for which team has the earlier slotted choice from the conference rather than place of finish.  If that is the case, no way OSU goes 8th as UpSan eluded to.

NO chance OSU will ever play in the Pizza Bowl (as much as I'd love to see it!). The bowl selections are much more about TV ratings and game attendance than record. OSU would get picked much higher than the #8 slot every time.

JSF--I believe in the team.  OUr guys seem to play pretty much every week, frustration with last year's kents and Troy notwithstanding.  We just gotta keep understanding that we need to take 'em one at a time as we're not good enough to overlook anyone....Let's make 11/2 count.

It wouldn't be so intentional to pick the bigger program first in the Big Ten pecking order but the 6th through 8th place finishers will be close enough or even tied in the standings pushing an OSU up and a Northwestern down to the 8th pick. Doesn't the MAC Champ play in the Little Cesar Bowl this year? It that game is against a Big Ten opponent I would bet we'd take it. Otherwise I suspect the Cats will play in a bowl somewhere out west as our turn is due.

I believe this year the Go Daddy Bowl get's MAC #1.  Unless things have changed, that doesn't necessarily mean they get the MAC Champion, but 1st choice of whoever they feel is the most attractive draw.  Hopefully, we will be both and playing in warm Mobile while toSU is freezing their buckeys off losing to another MAC school in Detroit.

Beyond even the question of Bowl Eligibility...Let's not forget the NCAA has yet to put forth a ruling.  Judging by the news that continues to arise, that ruling is more than likely becoming more and more strict by the day...
