Yes, Buffalo was very disappointing.  Even with the bad defensive performance, we still could have won except for some of the most questionable officiating I've seen in a long time.  And, according to what a little birdy told me, others higher in the Ohio football pecking order than I -- a mere fan -- think the same thing.  I think the Buffalo game will have virtually no bearing on the upcoming BSU game.  I would not be surprised to see us put on a performance like the Marshall game, with or without black uniforms.  GO OHIO!

I really hope we don't waste the black uniforms on a game against Ball State. We should bring those out against either Temple or Miami...both games on ESPN2 and would likely attract some more fans.  I sure as hell hope we put on a good performance in this game.

One game at a time, win or lose, forget last game and focus on the upcoming challenge.
We will be ok.

The scheduled black-out for the Temple game points to that as the most probable re-appearance of the black unis...Should look awesome on ESPN2!

Corrected!

BTW, how can anyone say we are not turning a corner? This team hasnt had a qb for 40 years.
We are currently  watching THE BEST qb play this university has EVER seen. (unargueable) We are not going undefeated. EVER. We will not win every game in the MAC. But, near the end of the season, we will be in contention for the MACC, as we have been the past 2 years. We will likely be in that position next year too. Not to mention what TT, returning most of this great O line amd an IPF will do for recruiting.

Well....maybe he could be one of the best QB in 40 years.....Cleve seemed to have a cannon arm and he was only about 5'11-170.  I haven't seen TT throw many deep balls.....but not sayin he can't. Tettleton seems to be the kind of QB who will beat you any way he can....and he has athletic football smarts....not that some of the others  didn't...but he has IT....whatever IT is.

I'm lookin for Harden  and Brazil to continue to tear it up.....for Bussey to have a breakout game.....for a few guys on the D-line to get medieval on some QB's.

When we win these next 2 games the Chicken >ittles will probably say...but they weren't Temple.....and they could be right....stay tuned.

This program is built as a MAC contender. I can remember when Scott Mayle a converted track star was the only receiver that could catch a ball open. There must be 10 receivers on this club who catch 9 times out of 10 in traffic. Look at the play on the field qualitatively. There is simply no comparison to what this team is capable today offensively from where it was 6-8 years ago. The program has evolved from having no talent at the QB position to Bower, Scott, Jackson, Bates transfers to now finally rasing 4 year QB's. T2 is first of the new generation but we've got even younger talented guys like Snyder, Vick and Windham coming in behind T2. The stable has never had this many quality young quarterbacks. Then Frank, he may be coaching here for 10 more years and after that Albin for 20. This program is set for a long time in the future.

Problem is, 1 pt down, Ohio controlled it's own destiny in Buffalo--first and 10 with plenty of time and the best place kicker east of the Mississippi and the offense fails.

Has it been asked yet why Bates missed the bus?  Oh wait, he did line up for a few plays?  Was thrown how many slant passes and ran how many wildcat plays?

I'm not mad about losing a MAC game on the road by 1. Or bothered by only winning at 7 at home against Kent State. We're 4-2 with two losses by a combined total of 13 points. Buffalo brought a blitz on the third down at the end of the game and it worked for them. Hats off because they probably don't get the W otherwise.

Yeah, I get all that. The thing that's most disappointing is that if there were ever a season to pick up heavier support for our team, this is it. We have a good team on paper, lots of exposure through "Relentless", the black jerseys, the 110, and OSU is losing. Any underachieving makes all that no longer matter. Are we headed to the same 9-5 record? No MAC champions? Loss in an underwhelming bowl game?

No (I predict 8-4 or 7-5), yes and yes. I would have killed for 7-5 during the Cleve-Lichty-Knorr years, mind you, but it would be a huge disappointment this year. Yet I believe it's possible.

I think we are looking at anywhere between an 8-4 and 10-2 finish. I said 10-4 with a bowl win before the season started and that is something I still stand by. I don't see 3 more losses in there between Ball State, Akron, Temple, CMU, BGSU and Miami. To finish 7-5 the Cats would have to drop 3 out of their last 4 contests. There is no way the team is losing to Ball State next week at home or Akron the week after on the road thus Ohio would have to lose 3 out of its final 4 to finish 7-5.
