I was there.. Attendance was bad but the weeknight games are a killer...

Except that we had a packed house to watch OHIO beat up on Temple for a third year in a row.... ON A WEEKNIGHT!
Packed house? What game were you at?

I saw plenty of students left at half time....
Tickets sold is what counts in the record books.

OK, and we still had more people in our stands after halftime than at the beginning of last night's game.

Just admit it...you're the Little Sisters of the Poor of the MAC...

I believe the attendance for that game was only 300 more than last night's Temple/Miami game? Don't get giddy.. ESPN is really good at setting up shots...

Athens, OH population- 23K
Philly, PA populations- 1.5m

Temple's appeal for moving up to the Big East is supposed to be that they "have the Philly market". If that's the case then where are the extra 1.477m people that give Temple a leg up on the MAC? Why weren't any of them at the game?

I hope you realize that you're splitting hairs over the worst reasons.

I find Temple's lack of attendance perplexing too considering they've got TU banners up over most of downtown and advertising along the Northeast Expressway for every game. With the display at the Linc last night the Big East would be just as well off having Villanova football and that tiny soccer stadium.

It may not have been packed, but the crowds from every other televised MAC game combined (save Toledo) would still have been smaller than the crowd that was in Peden.

Yep....that's what brings that collegiate football atmosphere in the stadium, doesn't it.  The five rows of TU students certainly bring it!

TUVideo comes on here and shows us some respect...and tries to have some good discussion...so why don't we treat him accordingly?

Agree with that. The guy seems pretty reasonable to me. What's with the hate?

I'm with Jeff and Robert on this one.  This guy has posted some good things.  Maybe it's time that some of us take a look in the mirror - we're not as big a deal as some of us would believe.  Even in field hockey we get the lowest seed in the tournament after a play in game.

Dude is generally okay.  But to not get that the Blackout crowd was superior to what bigcityPhilly brings for temples is to be unreasonably stubborn.

The Athens drawing area for a midweek game--the population within, say, 40 miles--is miniscule compared to temples drawing area.  Yet temples' crowds don't approach what we put down.  If you don't get that, then let the obloquy begin.

I agree with Jeff. TU Video has always posted respectfully, and should treated similarly in return. Just because that isn't true of all Temple supporters is no reason to treat them all with disrespect.

I've enjoyed the banter with both of our resident Temple fans this season. Just enough mess to make me highlight the game, yet not enough to evoke ire.
