Temple/Penn State this year had 1.9 million viewers for a noon kick off.. 1.3 million for a Wednesday night game is VERY impressive.

Considering that the game was decided in the last minute... not to many.. but it's hard to tell with 57K in your stadium... not that  you would know anything about that.

How many were actually Temple fans?

50,000+ fans at home isn't that impressive when most are fans of the other team.  I'm not saying OU would do better if we had the Linc in Athens, but it's just not impressive when the team everyone in your stadium wants to see... isn't you.

EDIT:  I actually didn't get to see pictures of the game; feel free to post.  But the biggest crowds seem to be when Villanova (same city) and Penn State (massive fan base)

I think Pete was referencing the ongoing issue of OHIO students leaving games at halftime. I doubt he was referring to Temple vs. Penn State.

But I guess you get a little defensive when you lose 3 years in a row to the Bobcats :)

That photo looks like one of those big time teams who give a set aside section of seats for the away fans. You can see two, maybe three small collections of Temple fans there. Why would you post a picture to prove yourself wrong?

Screw Temple - we're done with them for another year. Ohio's crowd during our win was much more impressive than anything I've seen there ever. When it comes down to it they still have had NO success in the MAC. A conference they want to leave for bigger and better things. Pathetic really. Hey Temple - win one major game then talk to us about how great and important you are.

They ran an "Occupy Lincoln Financial" promotion.  When the Occupiers get no handouts in the first half, they will leave at halftime just like OU Students.

That one student section they keep zooming in on sure is!

Also, I love that Temple is using thundersticks.

I believe the attendance for that game was only 300 more than last night's Temple/Miami game? Don't get giddy.. ESPN is really good at setting up shots...

I saw plenty of students left at half time....
Tickets sold is what counts in the record books.
