Whoever wrote that caption should be sentenced to one week of forced labor on Steve Hays' farm.

Seriously! They've been making these mistakes since the beginning of the season. How is this even possible?

I know the photographers write the cutlines, not the reporters, of course. But you'd think the photographer would know enough about what he is shooting to at least know who the quarterback is. And someone should be able to catch that before it goes to print. Most likely four people, including someone from sports, was supposed to see that cutline before it was all done.

Anybody with a paper in hand today notice a correction?  I'm not a journalist but I know I see that routinely in both Dispatch and NY Times for misidentifed photo subjects.

Yep, that mistake screams for a correction.

Don't have a copy of today's paper, but I'll try to grab one today to check.

That's better than the guy who thinks we're playing Temple again.

What's wrong with picking the team that you think is going to win even if it's not your team?  I bet there are tons of folks in IN who are picking the Colts opponent each week this year.  As for Joe, yes he watches the games.  He always stops by the Green and White tailgate on his way to home games.  He is has been one of our most loyal supporters through the years and a true Bobcat fan.

I don't think Hypatia is questioning his loyalty as much as he is his intelligence in making that pick.

You'll find a few prognosticators that picked BG here, too.

Speaking of our prognostications, not one person picked the Buffalo or Ball State Game correctly, but four people are perfect other than those, and most of the rest have only missed one other game, though it varies which game they missed.

Note that BG did beat both Miami and Temple. As Ted pointed out, they got a raw deal on the schedule, with no game against Akron, and an extra game against the west, resulting in losses to WMU, Toledo, and NIU. Substitute Akron for any one of those, and they'd definitely be in the running for the MAC East championship.

Update: There was no correction in Tuesday's Post for calling Tyler Tettleton Omar Leftwich.

But I suppose Wesley Lowery might stop by soon to complain about us complaining.

Yeah, where is our good friend Mr. Lowery?

BTW, I just wanted to take this opportunity to post this excellent photo of an amazing catch by Billy Gonzales-Santos. He's my new favorite receiver!

Lady in the upper right corner of that shot is quite interested in some peanut M&Ms.

Glad to hear Carbone is a fan.  Always good to know that other sport's coaches are fans of other sports and not completely focused on their particular sport.

As for the dude who picked BG, it was a two fold comment.

1. I'm surprised that anyone would pick BG - I really think OU is going to win, but I could be wrong.
2. I'm surprised that a writer for The Post wouldn't pick OU.  I'm just surprised that everyone isn't a homer.  Good, bad or indifferent.

Go Bobcats!
