After the loss to Western, they don't have a postseason.  They will play this game like it's the Super Bowl.  A key to this will be to pressure Dysert and hit him every time it's legal- let him know we're there.

Come out firing on all cylinders and bury them!

Miami likely doesn't bring many fans with Black Friday with the Gap and JCrew probably having sales that day. Miami team will be tired from those 4am doorbusters at the mall before the game.  Bobcats will eat good on Thanksgiving, get a good nite sleep and beat the stuffing out of Miami on Friday. Then hoist the MAC East championship flag in Peden.      Just noticed game is on Tuesday.......Guess Miami didn't want to miss those sales at Jcrew and had the MAC move the game to tuesday.

This is not going to be an easy game. Miami's scoring defense is rated #43 in the country just slightly below Ohio's. Ohio has a huge advantage over Miami offensively but the Redhawks will dig in their heels with not quite as much spirit as the prior 2 games but enough. My sense is we are looking at a 8-14 point victory by Ohio most likely with the game staying competitive until the 4th.

Must win, for all the usual reasons.  Plus, 9-3 has a bit of luster.  8-4 via a loss to those guys, not so much.

Long range weather forecast looks very bad for this game.  Rain, rain, rain.  Hope that changes by next Tuesday.

Each year we have made it to a bowl game we have lost not only the Bowl game but also the previous game, whether it was a MACC game or the last regular season one.
So adding on 2 loses at the end of the season really detracted from the overall W-L record for the year.
We need to change history and this year is the year.
Time to record a double digit win season.

Since Fiami has zero running game...that would be fine by me.

It excuses poor home attendance for the game as due to the weather.

The rain may help. We need something to shore up our pass coverage or Dysert is going to pick us apart.

That concerns me as well.  We really need to work hard to get pressure from the front 4.  I'm aware of the injuries and such but in the first few games of this season we were blitzing and intercepting passes left and right.  We need to create some turnovers in this game.  Go Cats!

Rain or Shine, any night we beat Fiami is a good night. However, I'd love to see us not count on FG and go out and dominant the field. We need to have our offense and defense hitting on all cylinders before the MAC Championship Game!

We gotta avoid having happen to us what happened to Clemson today.  They have already wrapped up an ACC divisional title, but got walloped by NC State today.

Our defense needs to be stout this game for some confidence heading into the MAC Championship.  If we continue to not put a lot of pressure on the QB as we did against Schilz and Radcliff to an extent, Dysert will shred our secondary.

The seaon really begins now.  We've been fair enough so far.  If we don't perform will from here on out, then it's not memorable.  If we do perform, that we talk about this one for a long time...into next season.

Last season Ohio picked Dysert three times.  He still pased for 332, though, it was only good for 13 points.  This is going to be another one of those games when you know Dysert will get his, but, he alone won't win.  Ohio has enough to give the Miami D fits and the Ohio D is playing through some inexperience into a more seasoned group.  My concern is not Miami at  all, but, Ohio penalties.

I've never seen less interest in an Ohio-Miami football game among the fans.  I'm sure that the team doesn't feel the same way.

I hope Mr. Huynh keeps his helmet on this game.  Direct your fury toward the opponent.

No doubt Miam has noted his sensitivity about his legs.

It Ain't Easy Being Green.
The concept of "the Migration" for the OU-Miami game has suffered over the last 40 years.  I am looking at the Tuesday game as the return of "the Migration".  Perhaps a great part of "the Migration" was the weekend at OU, when Oxford was a "dry town".  Time to keep on a roll and beat Miami as a tune-up for the Championship Game.  Then, I expect to duplicate the event for the MAC Championship in Detroit.  This is our year!  Go Bobcats!

I just noticed that we are favored by ONLY 7.5 tomorrow. This seems low since the 2 teams have opposite records and we are at home. Looking at the other conference games and their spreads this just seems to be out of wack.
Anyone agree?

7.5 seems right or maybe even a little high.  In the past month, Miami has crushed Buffalo and Akron and lost very close contests against good teams (WMU and Temple).  The Redhawks are a solid squad and will come in to Athens ready to play, that's for sure.

I agree that this is a must win game. I have a hunch that Ohio plays its best defensive game against the fiami red whatevers. I think this team needs a "statement game" before post season and this game is going to be the one.

The Redhawks hold the all-time series lead at 51-34-2.

The only way Ohio turnes this stat upside down is to just keep beating them. This year, next year, the year after, etc.

Well, I have several weather apps on my iPhone.  I'm ignoring all of them except the "Weather Bug" one. It says the rain will be mainly in the morning -- potentially heavy downpours -- and then the temperature will turn much warmer in the afternoon getting into the mid-60s.  From that I conclude that we will only have light patchy rain in the evening.

Miami might have the worst offensive line in D-I.
