Jason Arkley

FB practice wrap. QBs. K. Snyder missed one day (personal issues), Vick coming tonight (funeral) and Bell transferring.

Hope this clears up the rumors.

What sets this Ohio team apart from most college football teams? The best QB is not the second string QB! :-)

Yeah but the way Tettleton plays as a football coach it tells me to have a #2 who can WIN THE GAME.

I've been trying not to get involved in this whole topic since it broke on sunday (save for one comment zinging Temple), but how exactly does someone in the university payroll office (the source you cited for your scoop) have any insider roster information?

Well, it seems to me we would have that if certain backup QBs were real leaders and team players.  Alas, it appears some have decided to become selfish, whining, pain in the asses the week we are to play in a championship game.  I'm not impressed and won't miss any who depart.

the original rumor was intended for me to get upset and have a negative view of the coaches, but it had the inverse effect - made me think certain players thought they were entitled and crying about playing time.

I'll choose to let the players / actions speak for themselves

people have to do what is best for them - the decisions they make will determine what kind of people they are. In some cases it makes sense to quit or transfer, but sometimes they will end up regretting it. I hope every player who wants to be part of this team sticks with it and all the others I wish them the best of luck in all of their future endeavors.

Keep in mind, this additional tweet from Arkley....

"Solich nearly busted a gut laughing when I asked him about the great QB sit-out of 2011. Light practice day, Keller/Allen both on the field."

I don't know what really happened, nor do I care. When you have a team that won the East, and which could win the overall Championship and a Bowl, I think anyone that would try to cause problems at this point in the season is not someone you will miss. The coaches should give them their release, and add another Freshmen to a class that will probably be small, anyway.

Guys your missing the POINT. Yeah the post was rather sensational but obviously there was an investigation into why all of a sudden there was turmoil in the QB ranks. Now if everyone mainly the football staff is comfortable with sending "Player B" into a big game if "Player A" is hurt SO BE IT. I wouldn't do it is all I'm saying. Everyone is entitled to his own opinions and frankly none on this messageboard matters.

It is confirmed that the current players already know what players asked for their release to  leave the program at the end of the post season. And once again my question is IF Tettleton goes down does the team have the confidence in these players??????

I wish you would go down. I would take my chances with any other poster on here, no question.

Sorry it didn't read of the verbiage Doc, that was my lighthearted attempt at some levity due to the heavy nature of the thread and referencing the constant updates from Cole's #1 fan on the recruiting thread.

SInce I no longer play football its a snowballs chance in HELL that I will go down. Your post makes absolutely NO SENSE. Everything that I have posted is the truth and just because I have asked questions that makes people such as yourself UNCOMFORTABLE in light of the impressive season the Bobcats have had does not mean I wont ask.
A wise man once told me "Opinions are like @holes..everyone has one and it STINKS. My assault on you nose is that I dont think a key player should be allowed to play if he asks to leave the team before a big game..are you so appalled because no one issued a press release. Does that make it not FACT when I have personally spoken to employee's of the university and players?? GTFOH. Like I said before someone posted a "QB" update I am done with this discussion and your welcome to ASSUME what you want about whats really going down. We all know the story on ASSUMPTIONS right??

Bobcatblitz,

Your post on QB'geddon has angered me because it is everything that is bad about these message boards!  From one observation, with no additional knowledge of the situation and without waiting to learn more you started a post that had no substance to it at all.  You created it!

As far as I can tell, there is and was no turmoil among the QB ranks. The idea that there was was created by you and your ability to jump to conclusions.  Again, there is and was no turmoil among the QB ranks.  Simply circumstances surrounding them not being back with the rest of the team, which I am sure there was others with similar circumstances that you didn't take notice of because you rushed to your computer to make everyone on this forum believe that the sky was falling.  You made some people question some of the players attitudes and commitment to the team that was completely unfounded.  Bell is transferring and I am sure that decision was nowhere near as dramatic or as big of a scene as you would like to make it out to be.  Sometimes players just don't fit with the school, the team or think they can get more PT elsewhere.

Do us all a favor and let Jason Arkley and others on this forum that have some level of "credibility" break the stories.  When they tell us someone is transferring you can jump in with your irrational conclusions and imagined drama from there.  We will all just know that you have zero credibility and completely disregard what you say.

See? You thought the game thread was bad.

I'm going to kill this thread by posting in it. You can thank me later.

Steve Young, Steve Bono and Elvis Grbac walk into a bar. Bartender asks them where they're from.

"Connecticut"

"Pennsylvania"

"Ohio."

Bartender says, "Funny, I thought you guys were from Idaho."

"Why's that?" Young asked.

"I don't know," bartender said. "You three just always seemed to be in Montana's shadow."

You're a coach?

Just curious...Do you speak to your players in the same tone that comes through in your posts?
