We may tip 300k by the end of the night...I don't get it.  It was a great performance, but not unlike all the other fantastic performances I've seen from the 110 over the years.

I'm guessing because the original video has 228 million views and the band did a pretty good job of replicating the dance moves (aka shufflin) in it. Its a really good homage to a really really popular song.

here's the orginal- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ6zr6kCPj8&ob=av2e

Between the black jersey video and this one, we're getting some great YouTube exposure! Nice to see the 110 getting the credit they deserve.

It was like many of the other great performances if the song just finished up after the instruments did their dance...there's only so many moves you can incorporate in that formation over 40 years....IMO...from an alumnus of the band from the 80's...what set it off was when the percussion stepped up.  That's not been done before.  One of the most inventive ideas I've seen in my years.  This had a lot of my generation alumni passing this around to share on Sunday, and there are a lot of Bobcats in the media/communications/journalism industry, so I imagine it just hit a couple key people.

FYI ....They did upload it for the Kia Soul contest, but are using the original artists' music instead of 110's:  YOu can vote here.

It's not that I don't get why this video is getting the attention, it is more I don't get why this is the one that did it.  The percussion dancing theory is a good one...That was the only thing I noticed that was a little different than their normal routine.  Regardless I think it is awesome.

It is up to 550k views...I am staying in Cadillac, Michigan a full 8 hours from Athens and saw it on the local news at the hotel this morning.

The next time Steve Hays hates on athletics, I plan on mentioning the million (soon) combined views the black jerseys and Party Rock Anthem pulled in for us...  What has Classics and World Religions done for us lately?

Black jersey video. Party Rock Anthem video.

I say move the Temple game to Saturday and bring in Gameday! We're national. I'm seeing Lee Corso putting on a Rufus with 110 in the background.

In all honesty, I think exposure like this is far, far better than any trip to the Tournament of Roses or Macy's Parade.

I certainly agree on the Tournament of Roses Parade, which was a huge disappointment, but the Macy's parade has been huge due to Matt Lauer's influence.

This is really amazing how fast this is getting around. Makes me wonder if this type of social media was around when I was in the band, what kind of reaction Long Train Running and Cheer, when we played it in the same halftime show, would have received as they are now Ohio Marching 110 standards that they play everywhere! Now they have a new one to add to their standard list that everyone will want to hear! Great for the band and great for the school!

last year the mascot fight got 1.5 million views, this year we've had Relentless, the black jersey reaction vid, and now the 110 video. that's a lot of free exposure, hopefully we'll continue the trend next year.

Here's the kicker -- neither of those sites link to the video with a million views, so you'd have to think the reach is well beyond that by now.

A MARCHING BAND, Is national news?! What is this, the 1800's?! ;)

J/K. Man, I just can't catch a break these days. Everything I post is instantly proven wrong.

This 110 video now more than 1,000,000 hits in less than six days.
That Golden Flushes video slightly more than 1000 hits and two years old!
Fame vs lame. Nothing more needs to be said.

When you think of how hard the members of the 110 work to do what they do, I am especially happy for them to be recognized nationally like this. Well earned acclaim.

Prior to the Kent Game, I had a post proclaiming us a "cold weather team" that would flourish under harsh conditions. Oh well!!!

Ok, I now proclaim that Bobcat football is finished. We are going to lose the rest of our games and no students will ever come to the games!  And if they do show up, they certainly won't stay past half time! Solich will retire VERY SOON and Neal Huynh is going to be out for a VERY LONG TIME. :)

I think the Can't video had ~3-400 views when I posted it yesterday.
