After what I just saw I'm not sure I would walk across the street to watch a game.  I think my doctor would advise me to stay home and paint, read or meditate because tonight's game took at least 5 years off my life.

Yeah, me too.  I just feel so empty.  I can't imagine how the players feel.  I know they tried and I hope it gets better for them.

I'm glad the team gets to attend and enjoy a bowl game, and hope they can pull out a win, but there is no way I would spend a nickle to travel to Boise. No way ain't gonna happen.

Hey.  USU fan here.  I have to admit that the MAC agreement with the Humanit... err... Potato Bowl is kind of a bad deal.  It's not much of a location, especially during bowl season, and it's pretty damn far from any of you guys.  We Aggies, on the other hand, are ecstatic to be in a bowl game at all, as the last time we played was the inaugural Humanitarian Bowl in Boise back in 1997.  It's a relatively short drive for the fanbase, which is great while we are trying to shed years of apathy.

I hope your team can get over any disappointment and show up for a good competitive game.  Best of luck (but not too much)!

Sad thing is there won't be 250 Bobcat fans at the Bowl.  Parents, Administrators and a few money people should be about it.  Very disappointing end to the season.  Not sure players can recover from this kind of loss.  Could be an ugly Bowl.  Will be interesting to see how coaches get these guys pumped to play on the Blue Turf.

I don't think you'd want any of us in the current mood.  Maybe in a few days when the depression has mellowed to just the blues.

I hope the teams gets over the disappointment too but as for me, forget it.  I have about as much enthusiasm for this dumb bowl game as I do for going to see an 90 year old dentist with palsy.

Playing Utah State in Boise is the consolation prize?

Wow, this is even worse than I thought. :p

If we're going to lose money, then why not decline it. But we can't do that because it's a public relations bargain even when we lose. I hope that we can at least show some discipline. The personal fouls were embarrassing!

I live in Salt Lake City and have to say, Utah State is a pretty good football team.  They are a couple plays away from an amazing season.  They should have finished off Auburn at the start of the season, they also had BYU beat on the road.

This really isn't a good matchup for the Bobcats...traveling clear out to Boise to face a solid team basically playing a home game against us...not good.  After tonight, I honestly don't think I can bring myself to drive up to Boise to potentially witness another disappointment.

I'd much rather watch a replay of the infamous Utah State 5, Ohio 0 game of 1994 than this bowl game...

Yeah, I figured you and ur 7 posts wouldnt make the trip. Keep Bleeding Green bro! I'll drive there, and yes it does help that I just moved to CO.
I may be extremely disappointed, but my fanhood for OHIO will never bend or break. Take ur fair weather behind to the sofa and I'll watch us win OUr first bowl game in person.

Brother...I don't know why it says I have 7 posts...been a member here since 2005...been a fan for 30 years, was a season ticket holder when I lived 400 miles away but 2200 miles is just too far to go on a Saturday.  I'm far from a fair weather fan.

I think it's ok to be angry, disappointed and just plain pissed about what happened tonight.  You'll also have to excuse me for not being ready to hop right into the car and head up to Boise to watch a football team that literally gave away a game tonight.  I'm disappointed, I'm sure the players are too...they should be.

Some may be able to put on their happy face and continue to walk around in fantasy land....I'm afraid I'm going to need a day or two.

Christ, dude. A few of us are disappointed. I drank myself into a stupor and swore off the Cubs after game 6 in 2003. Guess what? I got over it. I'm always on board for more heartache with my Cubs.

This thing is similar.

People have a right to disappointment and frustration...and this is how we're handling right now. Sports are awesome for this one very important reason: there is a winner and a loser. Today, we were the loser and it sucks...it's the greatest cockpunch in the world. But I'd rather feel this than be rewarded with a participation ribbon or a part of "Choir member" in the school play.

Hate the feeling, but I know it's what makes sports fun. No one should be questioning people's fandom...we all came to BA.com to vent and share.

One bad half and we drop from Danica at the Go Daddy Bowl to Mr. Potato Head on blue turf!

Amen to that, Medler!  Don't take my bitter disappointment last night as giving up on Ohio.  I'm wearing my "Ohio Dad" sweatshirt today; I'll be wearing my Ohio jacket driving around in my car with the Ohio University license plates.  And come Dec. 17th, I'll be sitting in front of the TV watching Ohio take on Utah St.  C'mon, I've been a Browns fan for 48 years-I get over a disappointing loss and go on to the next game.  Yes I am a lemming.  And I love the BOBCATS!!

Not yet (as anorris said, perhaps tomorrow), but it seems very safe to say that NIU to Mobile, Toledo to Detroit, Ohio to Boise will fill those 3 main MAC spots.

For what it's worth, I heard in Detroit that the New Mexico Bowl is in play, though Boise is the most likely destination for Ohio.
