I'm not sure which is more embarrassing:  the thread about our supposed QB situation or this.....

We lost because we had no freaking shuttle bus from the Marriott!

BG86, I've run this thought through my ever-trusty Magic 8 Ball and it appears you may be on to something!

As for the rest of the commentary in this string, I'm calling upon a line from a long-ago Three Stooges cinematic effort: "Gentlemen, Gentlemen ... please!"

Jeff, what's with the new HHH avatar?  You might be interested to know that my uncle once ran against him for the U.S. Senate.  They remained good friends through the rest of their lives and each referred to the other as their favorite member of the other party.  My uncle was State Treasurer of Minnesota for almost 20 years, interrupted only by his defeat by HHH when he couldn't run for two offices at the same time.

Interesting story, OCF.  I've always respected HHH and I think his wit, intelligence, optimism, and work ethic all fit in the realm of intercollegiate athletics.  There was a reason they called him the "Happy Warrior".

Not trying to interject partisan politics into the board...just setting forth a role model worth emulating.

If my memory serves me correctly the Bobcats played in the first ever college football game in the HHH Meterodome.  Ron Harter kicked a field goal to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.

Final Score:

Minnesota 57 - Ohio 3

BG86, I remember the game.  I didn't know -- or had forgotten -- that it was the first game in the stadium.  I'd rather remember the game there in the Grobe era when we beat them.  Even though it was my mother's alma mater, she was happy that we won.
