Guys, we're in a bowl game for the fourth time in six years*. Let's enjoy it.

Mashed potatoes, but only if they're prepared by Sir Paul McCartney.

So many potato choices, so limited the poll options...

Did not know that a potato was considered poison before 1771 and could cause leprosy!

Guys, we're in a bowl game for the fourth time in five years. Let's enjoy it.

Well, technically, it's our 4th bowl in 6 years, which makes it slightly less enjoyable ;)

Seriously, I'm as sick as anyone over Friday, and as critical of the coaching approach as anyone, but I'd love to make this bowl. I just can't. Not only is it the farthest, most expensive destination, it's also less than 13 days notice.

Hmmm....oddly enough there once WAS a Bean Bowl. And it involved Idaho. Will the serendipity never cease?

I picked au gratin because it's the closest to my actual best liked potato product: scalloped potatoes.

BTW, Oxford Tech once played in the Salad Bowl.

It's amazing looking at Miami's bowl history how far the MAC's fallen since the mid-70's.  Miami beat an SEC team 3 years in a row!  Granted, they're different teams now than they were then, but that's still impressive.  Kent State was good at that time too with Jack Lambert and Nick Saban.

I believe that South Carolina was actually an independent at that time.   They had been in the ACC, but quit it because of some politics involving the four North Carolina teams in the conference (Duke, NC State, UNC and Wake).

I will never understand the appeal of scalloped potatoes...they are so terrible. Literally any other potato is fantastic.

Just more proof that I'm a no account low-life as BL has already informed you.

I never really understood the difference between scalloped potatoes and au gratin potatoes.

Until we made it to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

And then some doofus started this thread about potato choices. Which got us thinking very deeply about potatoes.

Why just food?

The Potato Launcher and Potato Powered Clock are classic inventions and I love them - too many carbs in the other potato dishes.

El Gato, I think you've just opened the door to an entirely new and exciting thread about non-food based favorite potato choices. Lead the way, my potato-loving friend.

Scalloped potatoes have white sauce, au gratin potatoes have cheese sauce.

I make the best homemade au gratin potatoes with ham EVER.

This thread is making me hungry.

Voted for mashed potatos while simultaneously eating curly french fries.

Greatest poll ever by the way.

If you wanted to vote for Mr Bee potato chips, better hurry; they filed for bankruptcy recently.
