I met a lot of nice fans from penn state last night at the hockey game. It will be a pleasure too give them back the thumping they put on us in hockey this weekend.

This reminds me of my trip to Morgantown!  Note how they confuse Ohio State and Ohio!

This will be my first trip to Happy Valley for a game. Given it's remoteness, I'm guessing getting a hotel room within an hour of that place is going to be nightmarish?

When/how is the best way to get tickets? This game has been years in the making for a good PSU friend and I.

I'm going with my strategy that worked so well in Knoxville... Buying 50 yard line seats for 25 bucks from the guy on a street corner who kept scratching himself and had bloodshot eyes and not asking him where he procured the tickets.

that is not going to fly, unless you really want to pay some serious bucks.  four months ago, we (in the eyes of psu fans) were probably another ho-hum opening weekend opponent. But now, this game has so much weight in happy valley. It's not just the first game under a new regime since the freaking Korean war, it's also going to be the unofficial Paterno memorial.  This will be a big ticket.

Wow, what a bunch of thugs in the video. What is wrong with the state of ahletics when a person can't go to a game without being criminally assaulted?
If I were the person getting a beer can bounced off my head I would go after these punks and press charges.
Penn State isn't the only one with bad fans but I've got to say this video changes my view of PSU in a big way.

Trust me.. this isn't normal behavior at Penn State. They will treat you wonderfully. unless you dare suggest that Joe Pa didn't do enough addressing the Sandusky situation  but a previous poster is right.. Normally this game would have plenty of tickets avails as it's not a big game.... this is now a HUGE game.

Don't like saying it but I would love for you guys to knock them off.

Dude, you must have one tiny pecker. That's the only explanation for your behavior.

Ha!  The same guy who couldn't beat out McGloin or Bolden for the starting job at Penn St?  Good luck with that.

Also, I'm looking forward to your recruiting class of 35 kids, at least 15 of which will never contribute to the program.

Career Bowl wins...

Temple 2
Ohio 1....

Of course it is seeming more and more that the Temple game has become Ohio's bowl game... so congrats on that!

And your manhood must be even smaller. Why else invest such energy in puffing your chest on an opponent's website? Get a life.  Hug your kids.

That's just laughable.  The only reason Temple gets any attention on this board at all outside of game week is you two mosquitoes.  You're both on OUr board during National Signing Day!  Who's whose bowl game exactly?

Beating your chest about a QB transfer that couldn't make the two deep at Penn State?  Have you watched a Nit  game the last two seasons?

Then up that bowl win number, because we've been beating TU like a drum.

Not really fair to lump them together. TUVideo has a brain, and can make cogent points sometimes.

While MH55 and TUvideo really grinds my gears, when they bring up arguments (some more valid than others...) I always check facts, research, and become an overall more educated fan.

So I guess in a weird way... Thank you?

Looks like Altoona, PA for me--about 50 miles away.   Stay there Friday PM and drive home after the game.

When I go to PSU games, I stay in Clearfield PA @ Holiday Inn. Its usually about $90 a night on PSU game days ask for AAA rate for added discount if you're a member. Its about an hour away but you are coming from the north so you are avoiding a large portion of the traffic. You cn also get it for a single night and check out Dennys Beer Barrel Pub, home of the world's largest hamburger. Its been featured on food network.
