Also if you have any vintage film on the old Ohio Fighting Chrysanthemums that you could post, that would be great too!

I'll get my newfangled high-tech Retro-Cam out and we'll see what we can do.  The Retro-Cam is advertised as being able to rip a hole in the space-time continuum, and to have been used extensively in the production of Star Wars -- The Previous Millennium.

Outstanding!  I look forward to seeing what you are able to come up with!

Was a little salty that Tim cut the top before I could find out it was Piecoro. The other weekend warrior color talent of that era was often WSAZ's Matt Sheppard.

Thanks Tim!

If I recall correctly, we went for two on the next play with and ran Brinker on a sweep. Not the best call of the Grobe era as the kid had no legs after the long run. But what a great game.

We did indeed, and almost fumbled it away and gave up two points.

The live Bobcat intro was the brain child of former university media services director Paul Ladwig. Paul contacted an alum at Lyon Video in Columbus and shared his idea. I can't remember Matt's last name. We found a "semi" tame Bobcat from this guy in dayton Ohio who is willing to allow Ohio university to use hit cat. Basically a bunch of 2x4's were set up against a blue screen background. The guy told us that Bobcats were naturally curious so we just needed to set back and let the cat do her thing. A really funny moment was when one of our camera guys, who just so happened to be a Miami alumni, was laying on the floor with his camera and the Bobcat became very interested in his ear. The bobcats owner told him not to move unless he wanted to be tasted. Once all the footage had been shot the owner was trying to lure the Bobcat back to its crate by throwing a piece of chicken in it. When the cat got halfway in the owner swatted at the door to push the cat in but it failed. Well the Bobcat was extremely agitated to the point the owner suggested that we clear the room.

Thanks for posting the link! Brought back some great memories!

It was a lot of fun. After shooting the bobcat, a camera man went into the Hocking Hill and shot background . The owner actually brought 2 bobcats in that day. The female was much smaller than the male. The only reason he brought the male was to help calm the female down. Bobcats are beautiful animals.

Love these old highlights - keep them coming! Would love to see some old highlights from some of the big wins during that era: Minnesota, Maryland, Hawaii, etc. Those were some fun times after the dark days of Cleve and Lichtenberg!
