For those that want to see more Rankings from 1-124, here are some more:
Athlon sports - ranks Ohio 59
rantsports - likes Ohio well enough to rank them both 42 and 48. Not a Brady Hoke-ism, they leave Florida International out to make room for two Ohios
sports-ratings.com  They are a little behind, and only down to #95, it seems

#95? REALLY? That is the biggest underrating I have ever seen. I suppose though that rantsports made up for sports-ratings.com's low rating by rating us twice. Thank Goodness.

They didn't rate us at #95.  They are only up to #84 on their list reveal.  We have not been listed there yet...

Not only that, but sports-ratings is a "list-reveal" unlike any others. Every time they rate a new team, the other teams move around. Some move up, some move down. It is very strange. The only thing I can figure is that they gave every team a starting number, and evaluated each team for wins and losses. Then they are going back through the teams, one at a time, starting from worst to best, and individually rating each team, and when they do, if the rating is higher or lower than it originally was, that may affect the rankings of other teams.

Nashville Bobcat, as one who used to live in Music City, whenever I see your name, it makes me think of  old song.  I guess that dates me...

Sure am glad you got a chance to say a word about the music and those mothers in Nashville.

Sports-ratings now has Ohio listed, coming in at #63. Based on prior observation, they may move up or down as he completes additional reviews. The Ohio review itself is reasonably well done. He gives Ohio a 1.4% chance of an undefeated season. and a 60% chance of winning at least 9.

Definitely no love from Sagarin, who places Ohio at #82 among FBS schools. To summarize, here are  the ratings I have seen this pre-season:

Presnap Read #26
Phil Steele #31
cbssportsline/Jerry Palm - #37
rant sports #42 & #48
bleacher report #53
rivals - #55
orlando - #56
athlon - #59
sports ratings - #63
compughter ratings - #65
CFN/Scout #80
Sagarin - #82

Now it's time to forget all this, and play some real football.

To be fair, Sagarin's preseason ratings are just a best guess. Also, unlike the AP/Coaches poll, one's starting position in the Sagarin ratings has no bearing on subsequent ratings (FOLLOWING roughly week 6 or so, when the teams become "well connected").

The other preseason picks are just best guesses, too. Now its time for some football.....
