It it worth pointing out that early in the 3rd quarter, PSU had a very similar situation, 4th and 5 at the Ohio 30, and went for it, and ended with nothing. I agree with both decisions, by the way. Ohio has one of the best kickers in the country, though he didn't look it today, so generally you take the points. PSU has an unknown kicker, so you go for it.

Indeed. The consensus is that the loss had nothing to do with Ohio, and was all the fault of PSU coaches and/or the NCAA. There are a few that have congratulated Ohio. If you want the tone, this thread will give you the idea. The thread is that "
PSU is not that bad, Ohio is that good" Here's a sample from that thread:

So, as you see, there are a few that give some props to Ohio, and even on a thread that was intended to do that, many blame the PSU coaches. The flavor of most of the other threads is worse.
