I saw that too. If true, it doesn't seem to make sense since Penn St. vs. Anyone is a big deal, at least early in the year, and should mean more ad revenue for ESPN. On the other hand, ABC ad rates might be higher meaning more revenue for corporate. Oh well, I will be watching no matter who airs it, as I'm sure everyone here will.

It may be on ABC in some areas (like the northeast) and ESPN elsewhere.  They do that sometimes.

BTW, an interesting article from AP's Jim Litke.  This may have been posted elsewhere, but I hadn't seen it.

Arkley's blog says Xavier Hughes, Joe Stefanski and Daz Patterson all out for disciplinary reasons.

Saw that too...Sad but that's why we're located in the upper right hand quadrant of the grid.  Hopefully they all learn from the experience of missing out on such a huge opportunity and more importantly, I hope they realize they've let their brothers down.  This is exactly the kind of thing that needs to be a non factor if the team is going to reach it's full potential.

How much do you think this will effect us? I guess we will find out how truly deep we are on the depth chart.

CNN's graphic about tomorrow's game was the style-correct "Ohio Bobcats" when I was on talking about Penn State earlier this morning. I also casually mentioned I was an Ohio alum and got in a "Kent read, Kent run in the right direction" joke.

Mostly I'm just happy we were not University of Ohio or Ohio University or Ohio U. because CNN sometimes makes those mistakes with us.

Just a straight up error, I think.  The only reverse mirror (ABC/ESPN2 regionalized) games this week are Miami @ BC and Southern Miss @ Nebraska.  Typically that happens during the 3:30p window on Saturday, but it can vary week to week.

Thanks, Skippy. Welcome to our board. While I don't have an account there, I have read a few of your posts on the Audibles board.  Your posts have been classy, too. We do try to stick mostly to football here, and the prospects for the game. We are hoping for a good game, even possibly a win, but you just never know. Certainly Penn State has more raw talent, but Ohio has more time with existing systems, and we are hoping that our experience with our systems, combined with hard work by the the Bobcats, will negate your recruiting advantage.

As you browse this board, you'll notice one other unique thing about this board. Ideas tend to be expressed in complete sentences, and using proper spelling and grammar. Ohio is very proud of it's outstanding and well recognized School of Journalism, and so among regulars on the board, it is accepted that it is OK to correct for that. Outsiders generally get a free pass, though, like the visitor that recently asked us to "bare with him", so don't be concerned that we'll jump on PSU fans that post here.

Let's hope for a great, well played game tomorrow, with few injuries.

Per Arkley's blog -  MLB Joe Stefanski, SS Xavier Hughes and RB Daz’mond Patterson -- will not be on the trip for disciplinary reasons (separate incidents).

I knew about Hughes but missed the other ones

Also from Arkley's blog, an interesting stat -- Penn State has never lost a season-opener at home.

Oh Boy, dad screwed-up and never taught his son how to hitch a ride.  The 2012 Ohio grad is at grad school in Pittsburgh and late last night decided to see his friends in the 110 and the Bobcats in State College.  Parking......$40 !  Now he's hoping the ticket won't be $140

4th and 2 on Penn State's 27 yard line..and you attempt a field goal.

This one is on Frank.

You have nothing to lose and you can kick a field goal with guy who doesn't make many from over 40.

Will never understand.

Watching replay, I like the way that our players didn't get too excited after we scored the last two td's.  Like we've been there before and expected to do what we did.

Must all the coverage be about them?  I thought that we won.

Also, on the replays it seemed like PSU wasn't interested in tackling.

Not starting..just saying you have to go for it there. Glad it didn't come back to haunt.

Great win Bobcats!
