I've been saying it weekly, to much hate, but Albin consistently playing to not lose puts us in these situations. OU goes up early - then starts bleeding the clock. We keep bad teams in the game. They only need 1-2 trick plays and the game is out of reach for OU.

Which is why they are not effective this year. Every offense in college football nowadays has explosive players. We either don’t have them or we don’t use them.

Rourke is just off. Entire 2nd half. Drives dying on some poor throws. He's the best QB in the MAC, but he's been off.

Offense is hot garbage today. So conservative. I feel like we never have a big play over 20 yards.

Right now I'm not sure this is true anymore. Last year seems like a looooong time ago right now.

Trap game. There's a reason we have a losing record against NIU. Just take care of business next week and then go into Miami and do what needs to be done.

Return man catches the ball ON THE RUN at the 23-yard line. . . and fair catches it.

Adding insult to injury? ESPN, coming off a 3-minute commercial break after the NIU field goal, goes to another 3-minute commercial break after the fair catch on the ensuing kickoff.

There is no taking care of business, if you mean we just need to skate against an inferior opponent. We may well be a home dog against WMU next week. if not it will be close. I'm guessing we're a 2 point fave?

If they get through Toledo they deserve it. I’m not sure we can score enough points to beat Miami anyway.

They need to have a LONG, hard look in the mirror because this “gameplan” is gutless and nut less.

Another thing I loved about the Iowa State game was Ohio playing a clean game with 0 turnovers and only 1 late penalty. Today? 2 killer interceptions and 6 penalties, some poorly timed, for 55 yards. NIU? 0 turnovers and 0 penalties with 5:40 left.

Having this quarterback and taking the air out of the ball is deeply weird.

I understood it in non-conference. Now it’s just weird. There’s no rhythm. It’s like a high school basketball team that holds the ball.

Rourke has thrown maybe 5 passes over 20 yards all season, and he has a pick in 3 straight drives on deep passes. He’s probably forgotten how to push the ball up the field, because we don’t do it. Even with the game on the line they’re snapping the ball with less than 10 seconds on the clock and throwing 7 yard outs.

Maybe the offense peaked last year or it was a fluke?

It's pretty much the same offense from last year minus Meservy and Jacoby Jones to injury but we got OShan and Tyler Walton back yet we look terrible.

I don't get it...just doesn't make any sense.
