Sportscenter just had a segment entitled: MAC Attack. It featured some of the same things that I mentioned in the original post and the excellent analysis many of you have posted. Maybe just maybe we might be turning some heads across the country. So far this season, it has been a debacle for the Big 10. Some of that comes from demographic shifts (more football talent in South, Southwest and West compared to 20-30-40 years ago) which I posted about last season. However, the MAC shares the same geographical area as the Big 10. Perhaps we are just getting better talent than in years past as well as better coaching. specifically better assistants (which could be a direct result of the steep pay increase for MAC assistant football coaches compared to just 10 or 20 years ago.)
